Default Who's going to win the US Open???

Ok, just over a week to go, who's everyone pick to win?

Ernie is in great form, but will a win hurt him too close to the Open? Vijay is just vijay and should be contender? Will Phil's control game keep going, where he's going to have to put it in the fairway? Tiger's started to look good at the Memorial, or will he be having problems with his swing? Anyone else? Justin Rose has really come on lately?

What about Aussies, will Adam Scott make the cut? Will Leaney be the best Aussie again and maybe go one step better?

My pick is Ernie to win, Adam Scott as highest place Aussie? Tiger will play well in 3 rounds but will have blowout in the other and put him out of contetion?

    Anyone for a guess?

    Iain

Ernie is my favourite but remeber, its not exactly a place where most long hitters win (Corey Pavin, Raymond Floyd) so DAvid TOms is in with a chance, Schris RIley if he is on, Robert Allenby if he is fit, Stephen Leany, I dont think Adam Scott, hes not really in form. You can never count out Tiger and VJ, THIS IS GONNA BE A GREAT US OPEN!

    Stephen Leaney.

Ok, he may be more of a prick than your average tetanus shot, but he's a good golfer and has been in good form all year.

    Default Hmmmm let me think

My bet is Sergio Garcia in a closely fought tussle with Tiger Woods. Tiger will spray drives in the last round.

Love to see an Aussie win but I don't think any of them are in good enough form.
    Chad Campbell could be value.

I wouldn't bet against Ernie. I think he's a genuine chance every time he tees it up. Nothing against Tiger & Lefty, but I think Ernie deserves to be respected as the "world's" (not North America's) best golfer.

Verplank or Nick Price. Both very straight off the tee.
Is Price playing ? Anyone know what the field is ?
