If you fly to brisbane, you would have to catch a train to the city, then bus to Caloundra. probably going to take 90 mins or so
Or train to Landsborough and bus or taxi to Caloundra, its a fair distance too probably 20 odd k's so a taxi wouldnt be cheap.
Maroochydore is a closer airport than Brisbane. you could get a bus ride to caloundra, probably wihout changing - being a milk run bus it would probably take nearly an hour.
IF the airfare is the same, i'd fly to maroochydore.
also check out the journey planner at http://www.transinfo.com.au/
as well all the trains and bus stuff is there
Thanks

Hey Rob,
We stayed in Caloundra last year - easiest way is to fly direct to Maroochydore - car hire was also pretty reasonable.
If you love Mexican food - there is a great place in Caloundra - Megs on the main street.
No need to get a train to the city. They should have buses that go direct from Brisbane Airport to the Sunshine Coast that would pass through Caloundra. Don't know how much they would cost.Originally Posted by markTHEblake

You could always try and get a lift from a fellow OZgolfer.
