NZ's Wakachangi $12 members special at Uncle Dan's. Good standard old Lager that's pretty quite and inoffensive. Not the worst session beer at $12.

Six strings brewery is only a 5 minute drive from my house.

Love their red IPA but after a run at the park the TPA goes down a treat.

If you see it out there, give it a crack

Really enjoy this one - and surprisingly cheap compared to other craft beers around.

New England IPAs are great. It is the style that I keep buying at the moment. Dainton's Fruity Freeze was fantastic.

Belted down half a dozen Steam Ales last Saturday, Uncle Dan comes thru again. Pretty decent drop.

Tried the La Trappe version of blonde last night and it is exquisite tho expensive. I slightly prefer the Leffe version but damn, how good are these two.

I haven't had one of either for six years, but I rated the La Trappe blonde higher then; I rated both highly though. I wonder what my tastebuds would think of them now.

Give 'em a go. That spiciness of Leffe just does it for me.

A couple of weeks ago, after the Leon Treadwell Memorial Golf round was finished, I took the opportunity to visit a second Toowoomba brewery, Volcano Brewing. Last year, I went to Four Brothers Brewing.

Volcano Brewing is right in the middle of the city on James Street, but the actually cellar door was hidden out the back of an estate. It is actually the back of the home brewing store that has street frontage. My aim was to try a few small beers there, then take a few home. First up was a saison, which is a favourite style of mine, but I wasn't that impressed with this, although it was still nice. However, the rest of the beers were very tasty. After that I had a Tequila Lime Gose, and the Stout, with neither style being a go-to style for me. Both tasted great though, with the gose being very smashable and the stout very creamy. I also grabbed some takeaways in growlers/squealers of the Amber, XPA, and IPA. All were good, but the IPA was the standout from those three.

Tried a few of these last night in Singapore. All good drops. Never heard of the brand but think they are from WA??

Rye IPA was nice as well as the double IPA.

Was it a tap takeover, or just their normal tap list? It seems strange to have so many beers from one brewery in WA on tap in Singapore.

The bar (freehouse), I think does a variety of taps, but they just got a tonne of their stuff in Friday and usually have more of a mix.

Just read on their FB it was a tap takeover for the brewery 2nd birthday or something like that.

Here is a tap list from the week before:

I want to try their Pilsner, very good reputation. Unfortunately it's not available round these parts.

Isn't it beautiful? The beer, that is, not Lang Park in the background.

Mum's birthday last night at the swankest place in Hervey Bay. Ordered what I assumed the snobbiest beer would be.

Strawberry Rhubarb sour beer from Brouhaha.

    I just don't get it.

I've had that one twice. I rated it average from the can, but pretty good on tap.
