Don't know if we have ever had a Favourite beer post here but I'm using clikchic's and goughy's new arrival as an excuse.

So whats your tipple of choice?

BTW I'm enjoying a Beez Neez tonight.

Make my own beer and have to say that mass produced , generic beer is very dull and tasteless [and far too low in alcohol ] - especially XXXgold and midstrength - VB and xxxx not far behind - best 'corporate' beer is Tasmanian - ala Boags / Cascade or SA - Coopers -

Boags, Hahn and Cascade Premium are my beers of choice.

There is brewery up in Brendale, where you can pay $120 for 6 cartons. They supply the ingredients, and they have the recipes for all the popular beers, incl the premiums. You make up the beer, leave it there for however long you are meant to, then you go back and bottle it up and take it home.
My neighbour tells me that it tastes as good as the real stuff, and he has tried "Crown" and "Hahn Premium" so far, I think. Haven't had a taste myself unfortunately. But it sounds like a good deal.

I have gone for the James Squire Original Amber ale mmmm
It brings back the great taste I had when I was home brewing ales. I really like it just cant really afford to drink it regularly at $50 a case. Oh well I have 2 dozen left yet to taste.

Anyone tried the new low-carb Bondi Blonde ??

    I heard it's a decent drop.

Almost picked up a 6 pack at Dan Murphy's tonight, but am a bit scared of the low carb stuff after the relatively poor tasting Pure Blonde & Super Dry.

gimme Duval all day. Any decent blonde is far superior to any on the mainsteam ale's. Aussie's best is Boags Premium. Of the internationals i'll like the Austrian and Belgium stuff, czech and german was a let down unfortunatelly. Hungarian, Poland and Turkey had surprisingly good stuff aswell. For that matter one of the best daily drinkers would be the istanbul drop of Efes.

Efes Pilsner in the lile VB shaped bottle with the white label?

Sensational stuff, perhaps the best value beer I've ever had the pleasure of drinking.

hoegaarden, as nice as it gets.
aussie would be boag's premium, with cascade and anything from squires right there as well.

Finally able to get Sol in Aus. To me best of the mexican beers.

My only complaint with imported beers is the 330ml sizing.

Got to agree with the Boag's, but Hoegaarden tastes a bit like rotten fruit and bin water. I enjoy Peroni's and Kronenbourg and Carlton Draught has to be the best of the cheap stuff., but who can tell the difference after a couple?
