Moosehead is good. Been trying Barefoot Radler, but find it somewhat a disappointment. Still looking for the one I tried in NZ that was infused with citrus, very nice beer that was.

Gave this a run the other day. Stones alcoholic Ginger Beer (from the Green Ginger Wine fame).

    Pretty awful really

Very sweet. Not really beery. Doesn't even really taste like Ginger Beer. Just bloody ordinary, barely refreshing dishwater. I'll survive my way through the other 5, but I won't be queue'ing up for any more.

4.8% mind you - it doesn't miss you! Still prefer it over any of the Blonde crap going around.

I'm not drinking it for the low carbs, and it is actually lower in calories.

Has anyone tried any of these lime or whatever infused beers that seem to be coming out now?

I wish I had have tried the Miller version while in Katherine, but I didn't realise what it was. I've also seen a Carlton version and Barefoot Radler from NZ.

Some PR mob last week sent me a six pack of Barefoot Radler (lime and lemon infused) that is made by Lion Nathan and it hasn't immediately endeared itself to me. Just tastes wrong. Glad I didn't have to pay to find that out!

Still four bottles in the fridge though, so when the Beck's runs out and I get desperate perhaps I'll give it another go.

Some things just take time to grow on you.

Its like walkin into Dan Murphy's and saying I'll have a carton of Brosnan instead of saying I'll have a carton of Ozik.
