I normally dont drink beer, but... Bought some Boag's Blonde something or other on the weekend. It didn't taste awful. Hope that helps.

Oh, and it's a Launceston beer, so I like to support my favourite part of Australia.

I'm a big fan of LCPA, but it's really sweet. Last night I had to go for a change of flavour.

Anything labelled 'Blonde' turns me off.

A little expensive, but a mighty fine drop
    Jarro,

That Schofferhofer Hefe Weizen is a very fine drop. For something different you should try the Kristal version. Same beer, but filtered. Gives it a much smoother taste.

Or, if you want to try the ducks guts of German wheat beers keep a look out for Paulaner. This stuff knocks the Schofferhofer for 6.

The Grunts Grog Pale Ale is still the best round here. Will have to get some labels made up for it.

No, you think you can taste the difference. It's the sound as it falls out of the glass and down your chin that makes you think it's alcoholic, and thus tastes better !

I'm not up for a superior beer debate against those that have superior tastebuds.

Have you found any Aussie beer with a similar taste?

    Nope not really.

Some places have Asahi on tap which is even better than out of a stubbie.

Moosehead (Canadian) is a nice drop too.
