You have to love the alcoholic nation that is England: picked up two cases of Sol on the weekend from the supermarket for £16 ($31)

Nothing better on a summer's day!

Not a bad drop for something different.

It's also nice on the rocks in the stronger form (14% from memory).

It is unlikely to be found outside WA, but if you ever see Matso's Ginger Beer it is to die for. Leaves Stones for dead.

Add a shot of Tuaca and some fresh lime and you are in business.

Just tried James Squires Hop Thief Ale, his Winter Ltd Release. Pretty good. A bit on the bitey side, but as with all Squires gear, top notch stuff.

I'm picking up my son after work today and we are heading down to 2 brothers brewery in Moorabbin for a couple of jars. This place is fantastic and the beer is genuine hand made top class stuff. I'm excited.

Want me to pick you up on the way past Jack?

Liquorland have a good deal on at the moment.

Purchase a 6-pack of Uberbrau (a German lager) and choose either another 6-pack of Uberbrau/Steinlager Pure/Grolsch all for $20. The Uber is a nice enough Euro beer, and the Steinlager is quite good too.

That is a pretty good deal shawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwrn, I wonder in they are doing the same deal in WA.

This weekend I had a few Trois Monts, french beer, bloody lovely. Comparable to a quality belgian drop, and 8.5% to boot.

On the XXXX Summer Bright Lager atm. Low carb full strength summer beer in the mould of Corona. Goes nice with a lemon wedge as well.

Best XXXX beer out there (take that whatever way you like).
