    Keza's Drinks of Choice

    Hahn light -after golf beer
Corona with lime - hanging out beer
Jack Daniels & Coke - Preferred drink always

    Scotty's Drinks

Pure Blondes - Before, after and during golf.
that's about it....... oh and Black Russians (Kahlua and coke)

I always prefer a beer after golf but after a few I will progress to JD's, having said that Scotty and I are currently on a dry period, no drinking until Sept 9th, when Mike Tait from SMT gets here..... We should be 2 pot screamers by then..... not six pack braggers like we are now...

    Cheers

    Keza

Henry, never drink the VB out of the tap - its not the same as the stuff out of the stubiie (which is wonderful). Draught out of the stubbie is a great drink. Heineken is a girls drink..

Jack - i used to give benefit of the doubt, and also thought VB was the only can-worthy drink. But in recent years, my tests have found that VB leads to breaking the seal earlier than all others.

And you know, once the seal is broken...

XXXX Gold for me but don't mind Carlton mid strength, Hahn Premium, Cascade. If I want to really lash out then you can't beat Kilkenny

After about 10 years of being a snobby boutique-only beer drinker
I'm back on the local stuff....mostly.

    Tooheys New
    Calton Draught
    Tooheys Xtra Dry

Or any import Pilsner if the local bottleshop's running a special$$.

I only drink about a 6pack per week so don't waste time with
    mid-strength brews(unless I'm driving).

If I'm paying when interstate I go the Carlton draught.
If its open slather I'll go a Hahn Premium, Corona, Tooheys Old, Boags, Coopers etc etc etc
However if i'm only having a couple nothing beats a proper Guinness or a Kilkenny off the tap.
G69 you've just said you can't tell the difference between beers...why would you bother going with a Guinness if you can't taste the difference between it and a Fourex. You don't want to start sounding like a pretender.

been to a night like that - i think it was 16 beers, and there was a compettion to see who could pick the most.  I got Zero, best was about 4.

Every beer  apart from the first tasted disgusting, and i threw up after about 12.  Mixing beers is not a good idea - never again.

I personally can't go past Corona's if I am feeling rich with a LIME as BV says or a lemon if no Lime but for an everyday drink Hahn Premium Light does me nicely.

I'll drink XXXX gold but to be honest after drinking it exclusively as a youngster it is not that great anymore.

As for VB.....yuck....worst hangovers I ever had on that stuff. My bro drinks it like a titty bottle the alco!!

Tooheys Pils is my normal drinking beer.

I also enjoy Carlton Draught and if I feel rich I usually buy Peroni

why do all you nuff nuff's put lime in your beer?

especially in Corona, its stupid. If you have lime in Corona why don't you put it in other beers?

some stupid backpacker convinced some drunk one day that it's tradition to have Lime in corona, when its not! If a Mexican saw you drinking Corona with lime in it they would laugh at you

each to their own, but if you put it on Corona and not in other beers, you're just being pretentious.

I first tried a Corona with Lime when I was in Mexico. I also tried a proper Margarita (sp?) and proper tequila there too. The Mexicans didn't laugh at me. The poor bastards were just grateful for the tourist dollars I handed over for them.

Who really cares anyway??? It's a free world.

Wasn't there an animated add not so long ago when a lime was thrown up into a fan and the pieces fell into the Corona bottles

If they market it that way

Thats because you were IN Mexico so there's a reason to use the lime/lemon. In Australia there isn't. Hence why they laugh if they see you do it in a developed country

And yes Jarro, I'm passionate about my beer. Especially when people ruin it with lime!

    Tezza,

The habit of putting lemon or lime in corona (or any beer drunk in Mexico) comes from hygeine. The bottles sit out in the dust with cockroaches and all sorts of terrible creepy crawlies shitting and pissing on the bottles, nobody wants to drink from them.

So they chop up a citrus based fruit and wipe it around the mouth of the beer to 'sterilise' it. Then I guess some tourist saw it and thought they must do it for the taste, and the pretentious Corona drinker was born the world over!
