I drink enough beer without needing an advent calendar.
I really liked the CVBC Red IPA, as well as their IPA. Some of their other beers, not as much.
I'm currently drinking a Brew Age Brett Affe Brettanomyces Double IPA. Not bad, and I can't taste the 9.9% ABV.
I don't need an advent calendar, but it's nice trying some new beers.
Tried the CVBC Red IPA again today, rate it much higher than the first time.
Not an ideal beer to be drinking while up a ladder putting up Christmas lights, but danger is my middle name.
Advent beer was an Old Man Yells at Cloud (Simmsy) NEIPA. Very happy to unwrap this one. Been wanting to try it for a while.
I hope it's not too old to enjoy its juiciness, JC. NEIPAs are best enjoyed fresh.
My last 2 have been a Bridgeroad IPA and a Hope pilsner.
It's tasty enough.
Bit high in alcohol to be a session beer
I consider a session beer more on its quaffability than its ABV.
Hi Nemo
I saw lots of Peroni today.
But I went with this one.
Foster's was mentioned in the subjective discussion thread. I actually had it a couple of days ago in Dubai. It was apparently the Australian version which was made in Vietnam, of course. I rated it higher than the Euro version that I had a couple of years ago, and they are actually different; the Oz version has a higher ABV.
The highs and lows of Xmas. Brother in law gives me a nice feral gift box, mother in laws boyfriend gives me a 30 can block of xxxx gold...
Can you even get drunk with 30 can slab of XXXX gold?
I am loving this of late
Really really nice session beer. Great flavour but not as heavy as an IPA.
Good stuff
I'm a bit over IPAs to be honest, or at least those that are hop heavy, so I'm going to back off the, although I might still have NEIPAs. I've got some Balter XPA in the fridge, which was just voted the most popular beer in the country.
The Hawkers and Balter XPAs are both in regular rotation the the House of Henno.
