Auspicious day the 27th August. Great things happen on that day.

I don't know of anything special that day. Most boring day of the year is the word on the street

WTF? Why the new thread? There's already one going for this match. A bit of post-boosting, methinks.

Don't look at me - not my idea.

Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

PPGC want to know if any players are locals or members ?

Also been asked to ensure we keep up with the field as the times we have are within the blocked out times for their Club Champs.

I'm not a member. I'm pretty sure I still qualify as a local.

Unless HS Vision group has changed their definition of the word "local".

We're all locals, but none of us are members any longer. How much are the greens fees these days?

No more additions, need to let PPGC know so they can release spots.

Grumpy maybe a no show, 15+ stitches for a sun cancer spot has him in some considerable pain.

Solarman is a possibility. Maybe he could take Grumpy's spot?

He was certainly showing some interest, but he wasn't definite at least until he spoke to she-who-must-be-obeyed.
