Default Fathers Day (Sept 4) game @ North Lakes

Who wants a hit on Fathers Day? I've got the truck so can go anywhere within an hour or so. Prefer $50 or less and a reasonable course.

Who's keen? Open for as many as want to come along!

EDIT: Game is at North Lakes, Sunday 4th Sept at 8:00 & 8:08am, for $55 in carts.

    Scores:

    peter_rs - 34
    jarro - 33
    daves - 31
    vegas - 29
    just - 28
    shaz - 27
    choppa - 25
    ben - ncr, social hit.

Thanks for the hit and giggle jarro, just and Pete. Good fun.

27 points for me. 17/10. Lost interest pretty early in the back nine due to it being pretty slow.

    fist post updated with scores.

You're right shaz, it was pretty slow out there. Having two groups on the first tee was a sign of things to come. The mob in front of us were playing a 4 man ambrose. Usually, that'd be quick, but they managed to hold us up all day.

Nice to play North Lakes again though. The front 9 (the old back 9) is the much more interesting 9.

As I mentioned to jarro, if anyone wants to play there, give Troy a call and I'm pretty sure he'll look after ozgolfers with the same price agian.

Looking at the scores I didn't suck as much as I thought I did. WRT the course, after all the bagging on here about North Lakes I was expecting something horrible, instead I found something not too different from Brooky, Pac Harbour and Pelican Waters. No world beater but pleasant enough.

I can see similarities with Pelican Waters, I was actually thinking that yesterday. I think its pretty different to Pac Harbour though, yet alone Brookwater.

I meant style, the context and the landscape are different. It shares the most similarity with Pelican Waters. With the exception of the greens there are quite a few holes that have the same feel as Pac Harbour with the encroaching bushland. I wouldn't rate any one of them far ahead of the others.

I agree, Just. Some people really hate the joint, but I for one enjoy the layout.

Who was using yellow balls in the group behind us? I was trying to work out if someone was crushing their drives or they were having a bad day!?

Jarro and myself. Jarro mostly, I was using some TM TP Black LDP I was trying to get rid of, but occasionally had the yellow E6's out.

Which holes were you mostly noticing them on Daves ?

I did hit a nice one on 10 to about 70 meters out

Nice drive mate. Mine was in a similar spot to yours and I hit mine pretty well. Did you flub your approach from there like I did ?

Saved par, from off the green.

Then went on to wipe the next hole after shanking a wedge from the middle of the fairway.
