For me, I reckon choppa is due. He was runner up in the first champs in 2004 and has never been too far away. As a bonus, he's actually played a few games of golf this year, so will be coming into the champs luke warm.

I'm out to 17 now. I was on 9 before the handicap system change ... went out to 12 after the change over. Didn't play any golf until 2 months ago. Played 4 games since and now I'm on 17. I guess it's a true reflection of my current golfing abilities but if I can start hitting it straight again and learn to putt, I'll be a chance at the champs, I reckon.

Div 1 - Honest Golfers
Div 2 - Thieves (and that includes choppa the biggest bandit of all)

But seriously, at no stage did I purposely waste shots in order to get my handicap up. As those who have played with me since my surgery know, I've been scoring consistently in the low 20's. The surgeon seems to have taken away my ability to hit the ball anywhere near straight and the little amount of putting ability I had is gone.

I'll work hard to get my handicap down to a more respectable level before the champs, but I can only try.
