2011 Champs form guide
Post your thoughts here.
For me, I reckon choppa is due. He was runner up in the first champs in 2004 and has never been too far away. As a bonus, he's actually played a few games of golf this year, so will be coming into the champs luke warm.

Most of you probably haven't had the pleasure of playing with him yet but BroKar.
He is really starting to hit his straps and with a 16 H/C could be very dangerous.

I suck at the champs and golflink tells me I've only played 12 rounds of golf this year. Still if I play a few rounds before the champs and get the handicap out by a few strokes more, this could be my year.

He came dead last at Pac Harbour the other week. However, he's admitted defeat and is getting lessons as we speak. Anything's possible.

I rate my performances so far as only due to laziness and a desire to sleep in. Play well on Saturday and be in the later groups.
Then fall apart as the round grinds to a halt behind all you slow bastards.

The defending Champ is a 20-ish handicapper. Too unpredictable and only burglars with handicaps in the teens can defend championship titles. But I may reassess after I play ambrose with him on the weekend.
Vegas, I'd prefer to list 5 favourites rather than 10. Iain is down the ratings list from yourself. Here's Iain's results. 1st, 15th, 7th, 28th, 7th, 9th, 12th. They are good results, but not as impressive as yours. Peter_rs's results are similar to Iain's and Blakey is thereabouts also.
You have 3rd and 6th at Pelican alone. You're a gun player at the Champs and will be in the final two groups.

Nobody has defended a champs yet and only one (low) teen handicapper has won a champs so far, Iain.
Maybe it's time you (AndyP) picked up the one ozgolf title that's eluded you so far. You said yourself, you've drifted out a few shots from the heady days of playing off 8. This could be your best chance yet.

I think the winner will come from someone none of you have listed yet. At the Champs anyone can win so my money is on a roughy.

I can't win. No hope - Someone collects near 40pts on at least one of the days, and i haven't achieved that since........ well since a 38 at pelican 2 years back, and even then, needed to go better than handicap to have a shot on the sunday. I give myself a good chance to be in the top few as the course (all bar a couple of holes) suits my eye pretty well. There are a couple of holes i need to figure out.
My money would be on anyone i can see producing 40pts. which includes, but not limited to. Choppa, Rusty, Just, that i can think of. I've played less golf this year than any of the last 5. So i'll be lucky to make a place.
Sporting the same setup bar the putter for the 3rd year.

Maybe it will be another guy who used to be off single figures playing off twenty something handicap. Or maybe it will be a guy playing with Brosnan blades, dressed up as a nun and using fluro pink balls.

That's the stuff of dreams, BV. I'd love just to be in a position to win it. That would be fun.
My chance may have been last year when I was the fave. Gailes robbed me of a shot, I played well the Fri/Sat, but didn't have the game for the Sunday. I fear that the best my grandpa game can get around Pelican is a few over handicap.
Alas, I think I wasted my best chances in the early years on good times and booze.
