Default Grunt V Peppas - The Grange 30th August

The time has come and Peppas and I have a tentative date set for our Match-play
    It is back on!
    Where: The Grange
When: Friday 23rd July 10:00 Tuesday 30th August

Should be an epic hack, me, the 21 marker playing like a 50 marker with spots of low teens in there game somewhere, against Peppas the unknown off 35.
Me giving him 14 shots could be interesting.

If Jimandr get his RDO he will be witness to this epic Hackfest, could be interesting with wipes halving holes

HA, I played Coffs Hacker in rd 1 and he had to give up something like 20 shots to me!

I'm just hoping the rain holds off on Friday, forecast is for rain all week...

Peppas the burgler. Watch out Grunt, he'll play off like 25 on the day.

I've never played to 25 so happy days if I do. After my last round I'll be happy to play to my handicap!

Six weeks in LA and you are already introducing your own rules.

I would have thought recent win at CL and being a product reviewer for Golf magazine would be enough to strike fear into a 35 marker.

Have a good game and I predict a few 'eight net sevens' may be winners.

    Don't worry, that was October.

By April, Grunt made it look like he had never played there before (except for the occasional hallelujah wedge).

Sorry Guys. No vacant spots in the field at Camden Lakeside on Friday. I have found an alternative venue, but I'll communicate that by PM just in case one of the players doesn't want to do it.

Grunt said he was going to update the opening post and/or title, but he hasn't.

We are playing at Macarthur Grange at 10.00 on Friday 22 July. There is room for another player if someone wants to risk Sydney weather.

Fortunately, it hasn't rained nearly as much in the SouthWest as it did on the coast, so the course should be OK if it doesn't pour tomorrow.

For the benefit of Peppas, Mac Grange is a very quirky golf course where there isn't really a home ground advantage. The only real advice I can give is the standard message that applies to most courses, which is to try to keep the ball on the fairway and minimise big mistakes. You don't really get much of a reward for taking big risks, so playing safe is usually the right play. The par 5's are shortish, downhill and may even be downwind, so they present an opportunity to recover from what appears to be a poor score.

Awesome, thanks Jimandr. Looking forward to it. Hopefully the rain is only light tomorrow... and isn't too bad on Friday!

Looking forward to this. Should be a great ol' hackfest from me

I might be able to play but will have to leave it until tomorrow to confirm, all dependent on weather and work.
