If PGA approves it, it must be a gimmick.

Is it stiffening up the tip or weighting up the butt ?

From what i can tell from the ravers it is adding a tiny bit of stiffness to the tip and it is provided with a butt counterweight to minimise the effect on SW. Its main claim is that it stabilises the tip and stops the excessive deformation and unwanted bending of the shaft tip through impact. Users report the same type of effect on dispersion as the Nunchuk delivers, with very little effect of flight and a significant reduction in spin and side spin. Sounds to good to be true.

I met Keith from Retco golf this week who is importing these (as well as Nunchuks). He said it cost "about $80", I didn't pay much attention to what it was at the time he just handed me some printouts off the internet and I decided to read later.

That's the insert on it's own without the locking tool or grip cutter.

Do you think the whole infomercial style marketing hurts the Nunchuk a bit? Makes it look gimmicky?

Possibly why this is being more widely accepted. They also have a heritage of Harrison love on WRX.

Why do you want to go with this vis a vis the nunchuck?

3 shotmakers = 1.5 Nunchuks $wise? If they can stabilise a lighter softer flex shaft = same dispersion with more CHS?...but mainly because it was there.
