    Default Peppas hacker swing!

The pro I get lessons from took some vid of my swing last week at my lesson. Took one from back and side, the main issue he saw was not releasing the hands through impact. I noticed a bit of a bob at the top of my backswing which I am a little worried about and can be seen more from the side on vid. What do you guys think? Thanks in advance.

Only have uploaded vid from behind so far.

Sorry, can't add much about your swing but that must be a pretty high speed camera. I can't ever get my driver swing at impact to be clear. It's always so much of a bur that it looks like im not even holding a club!!

    I don't swing that fast

Looks like the digital SLR was 7 fps. Most of the swings that I have of me didn't catch the impact position, just different parts of the swing. Depends on the timing I guess when you're using not many frames per second. Guess I was just lucky they caught that one...

****in' Americans! Aside from his hyperactivity he's driving with a putter. No wonder the Europeans are taking over.

Put the ball a little further forward in your stance.

Hahaha that vid at the start of the thread is from a few months ago, that was my callaways.

Yeah, from that lesson and video I did push stuff right alot, purely as I wasn't releasing through the ball but pushing through. Worked on sorting that out, now my swing is confused.

'Releasing the club' is bad advice, often it will make you worse pulling your path left and contact issues as you lose your flying wedges. Backswing looks ok, I'd like you see you move your hips further forward in the downswing instead of rotating too quickly. Rotating also sends your path left, whereas pushing your hips forward allows you hit the backside of the circle.

Peppas has kindly agreed to be my guinea pig for the next four weeks. We are going to meet up once a week (twice if possible) and I'm going to see if I can get him to swing a bit better.

We had our first range session today and I've taken some videos of his swing.
