Haha thanks mate. I got vid but it is too low quality to post... I am now working on a few things with a coach.

I can honestly say, I am hitting the ball worse.

For the pre shot routine simply Google "Kevin Na swing". He may well have ddasey covered in the waggle department.

So anyone have any good suggestions on killing my overswing and over the top move at the start of my downswing/top of my backswing. These are probably inter-related, like a naughty relationship which you don't want but can't get rid of either. And you're just wandering around the course, on your anchor, wondering about if you should just quit, but then take another swing and there she is again. ****ing hell.

    When are you playing next?

I have a suggestion, bit left field, leave 5, 7 and 9 iron at home and when you think you need a 9, hit 8, etc etc.

Alternatively, take them all and when you are confronted with a 7 iron shot, hit 5.

Just for a round, dare ya.

Playing a practice 9 hole giggle on Friday morning so I'll dump half the clubs in my bag and try this I guess. Can't hurt.

Cool, it might help you to smooth out a bit, think Fred Couples or Ernie Els smooth.

Shortening your swing won't have much effect on your swing.

This is Peppas swing at the start of a little session we had. They were low crap slices with no power.

This is swing at the end of that session were he was releasing the club properly. He was hitting high straight shots.

Understanding the correct sequence of the back swing will put u on the right track. There is no pivot in the takeaway. The right hip should brace before the pivot starts. Any further movement in the right hip and right knee is a twist of the hip through the right thigh muscles and hamstring. There needs to be a solid connection of the back muscles from the left shoulder to the right hip. If you can't feel this connection then work on it until you can. When the left shoulder stops at the top the muscles of the back need to be braced to hold the shoulder. The feeling is the left shoulder twists towards the ball with the upper back extended with a small lateral bend to the left. If this doesn't happen, the body gets cut out of the swing and it becomes an arm swing. You seem to have good rotation, it would be a shame to waste it.The back swing sequence is the right knee retains its address position throughout. The right hip extends and locks after takeaway. The left shoulder stops when the back muscles brace and twists towards the ball. The arm stops next, then the wrists fully hinge by the momentum of the clubhead which kicks off the change of direction of the hips. There should be the sensation that the left hip is pulling on the left shoulder/arm to start the downswing.

    Just trying to help.
Mate your swing has more moving parts than Bubba.
Have you actually seen it from both angles?

Bubba is a cool dude. See my post which describes the elements of Bubba's and most tour pros back swing. Knowing what they actually do as against what we percieve they do, can be helpful.☺
