why would the remove cottonwoods? are they are pest tree.
not excited about dams on the first. its really a difficult hole as it is as the green is really not suited to that length hole.

My memory of Nudgee is a little vague as I have only played there once (in an OZgolf round), but isn't there already a lake on the right side of the 1st?
Did I mention I made an eagle that day?

Yes Courty .. we all remember your eagle that day
The dam on the first is certainly on the righthandside of the first, and the two new dams will be smaller and on the left, to help catch water that flows naturally down the 1st fairway.

Yes the cotton wood between 7 & 8 are gone. The row of pines are gum are designed to protect 7 long term
They are planing to remove cotton trees from around the course. Part of the plan from a consulting designer. They are considered a pest tree which takes a lot of ground water.
Some more to the left of 5 are gone today.

Cotton woods gone on 1.
Gone between 6 & 7
Gone on left of 9
Dams on 1 either side of the hump
Between 2, 4 & 5 is to be cleaned as a dam
Behind 2 is to be cleared
All cotton woods replaced by natives were required
Fairways to be leveled
Future
15 green may move back and left across the creek.
13 water from the left to cut in at 200 water on the right of the green as well.
All dams to be linked by burns

That's gonna be a big dam between 2,4 and 5.
Should be good though as it give the place a cleaner, uncluttered look.
Moving the green on 15 is interesting too.

Will there still be trees to hide behind while having a sneaky dump?
