    Default Ping G15/ K15 Drivers

    Hi All

Any love for the Ping G15 &K15 Drivers? Had a hit with them this morning, does not seem too bad.
Got pretty good numbers with both on the monitor, K15 was a little on the left side
    243y average with a 260 best
    Spin under 3000
    Swing Average of 90MPH

Am looking to get out of the Cobra, am hitting it too high with no run. Going about 200 on the fly and stopping within 6 feet.

    Good numbers

Didn't rate the G15, felt too hard off the face and I hit it too high. That was a 9 degree stiff Serrano I think.

So are they inflated numbers to make me feel good enough to buy? I have no idea what is good or bad, 220m seemed about my normal

Have hit the G & K in a sim & the K on the course, good solid performers, K had a bit more spin, and a touch more tendency left. Both quite forgiving, but about 20yards shorter than the alpha I had at the time (in the same sim) & the K15 w/ TFC was a similar distance shorter than the 9064 on course.

At 90mph i'd think you should def be getting more than 200m, that's as good a reason as any to go shopping.

I'm not sure Grant, it calcs at 222 metres so could be true, but it said average shot so maybe not ?

Think of the 16th a Dunheved. From the back tee to just past the first of three mounds on the right side of the fairway is 230 metres. I measured my drive to there on Wednesday after I hit one pretty well (with an R9). 260 yards is another 7 or so metres past that.

The 260 was one out of about 15 though and was a little more left than I would have liked, ie missed fairway

Excelboy, the K15 Drives were mostly left of centre to missed left

Last time I played there I was in between the 2nd & 3rd mound

K15 has straight flight technology in it, which in normal words means it favours the left to reduce slices. I love my g15. So forgiving. But its high launching so go the serrano over the ping shaft if your staying with stock shafts.

I had a G10 for most of last year with standard shaft then upgraded to Prolaunch for 3-4 months, but still unforgiving compared to the G15 when I demoed one. So I bought the G15 with reg shaft cut 1" and that was way better for me compared to the G10, that was until I got hold of a G15 with a PX5.5 at 45"....this is my favourite. I sold the G10 and reg G15.....they are all 10.5 deg.....Stu

PS: I reserve the right to change my mind when I stick the Nunchuka in my 10.5 Rapture V2 and give that a work out!
