    Default US Open Results

Just logged on to check some early scores:

Steve Jones (who?) -3 after 6 holes

Rod Pampling +7 after 9 holes It'll be a miracle if he makes the cut from there...

Steve Jones would be a former US Open champ (early nineties - 93 or 95?). He didn't finish his round quite so strongly, but he can play. I wouldn't figure on him being on the first page of the leaderboard for too much longer, but he has a habit of playing well in early rounds on tough courses.

Decent round by Adam Scott. Will need to putt better if he is going to contend seriously. Missed too many 8-10 footers on the right. Loanrd played pretty well, too.

I saw some highlights of Choi.

He slammed in a few 20-30 footers. One left a dent I think.

I can't believe that one of the commentators said that Goose needed to show more emotion so that he can get the crowd behind him...

    why???

and with tiger 6 shots back, they seem to think that he still has a chance...what abt the 8 other players closer to goose???
