    Default Yep another newbie here

Yes another newbie posting in here.

I'm a lefty woman... rare breed I know!

I live in the north western suburbs of Melbourne and play weekly at Goonawarra... well 9 holes a week for now.
I am only starting out with this passion but can feel the obsession rising. So still learning and all that stuff!

    I will be lurking!

    Welcome Jen.

The good news is that we're all about equal opportunity here at OzGolf - lefties are allowed to post too!

So what's Goonawarra like? I've almost played there a number of times, but never quite made it.
Still not playing enough GolfLink | Slightly less terrible stats brought to you by Golfshot - F: 57%, GIR: 23%, UD: 14%, P: 34. Wow, improvement! | Nickent brand ho or tightarse? You be the judge!

There are worse things than be a lefty woman from Melbourne ...

Like a lefty woman from Melbourne, with red hair and a teleprompter.

    Welcome aboard. Enjoy.

    Welcome Jen.

Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

I like it but being a novice, it's not really much of a measuring stick! Have recently played Woodend, Keilor and um out near Mooroolbark somewhere but there is no place like home!

Now onto getting some decent clubs on a limited budget and fuel the obsession properly.
    Thanks for the welcome everyone

    Welcome Jen.

Definitely keep an eye and out on 3balls.com with the aussie $ strong. We just got my mother a set of cobras (hybrids, hybrid-irons, irons most brand new) for under $300 landed.
