    Default 2011 Ozgolf Victorian Matchplay

    2011 Vic Ozgolf Matchplay

    Detail
Annual Ozgolf Matchplay event for the Mexicans.
After closing date for interest, Bruce and myself will draw 1st round matches out of the hat. Matches will then be posted here. Round 1 will have a cut off date of (more than likely end of March).

Round 2 will consist of all round 1 match winners (if odd number of entries some players may get auto entry to second round i.e. last years winner. Round 2 will have a cut off date of (more than likely end of June).

Round 3 will consist of all round 2 match winners (if odd number of entries lucky losers get auto entry to third round) Round 3 will have a cut off date of (more than likely end of September).

All subsequent rounds will be determined after final numbers have been confirmed.

Format is handicapped matchplay i.e. one player has a handicap of 18 and the opponent has a handicap of 15 then the 18 h'caper will get a shot on the 3 hardest holes.

It is advisable to organise golf days in an attempt to get multiple matches completed on the one day, also those new Ozgolf members can get to know other Victorian golfers, (all Interstate Ozgolfers are most welcome to play in these days if they are in town)

It is the reponsibility of both players of a match to coordinate the playing of said match.

Those players that do not have an official handicap are welcome to play, a handicap must be nominated by them prior to teh match in line with their ability. If a hustler is found within the ranks, I reserve the right to do something REALLY REALLY REALLY humiliating to them.

Anything not clear let me know.

    Rennie,
I'm sorry to do this, but "Father of the YEAR" = ME, forgot my daughters birthday party this coming Sunday. F%ck, F%ck, F%ck, F%ck, F%ck, F%ck, F%ck, F%ck, F%ck, F%ck, this profanity is both for my forgetfulness of my duaghter B'day party as well as my disappointment in missing out on playing with all you fine people this coming weekend.

I'm truely sorry everyone, especially you Rennie and I am going to forfeit my match with JB as punishment.

I don't feel it is right for me to accept a walk-over win over Dennis since I am now not attending this Sunday.

Dennis are you free to play over Easter or on Tues, Wed or Thur following Easter?

Chappy - John is happy to play your match at a later date. He said he feels bad that you miss possibly progressing because of family commitments.

Wools through to the next round after taking me out 2&1. That's two from two first round exits for me. If Wools plays the way he played today he's going to be awfully hard to stop.

    Results of mint vs jack

Mint wins 5&4. Scrambled for everything all day and feel extremely bad winning with such bad form off the tee.

Would hate to get jack on a good day out! Ripper bloke and great to finally have a round with him.

Nice work mint. You must have been deadly with the long irons today - I reckon I spotted you topping at least 3 drives and hitting quite a few second shots from 'interesting' locations.

EDIT: I feel it is only fair for me to mention that I also topped my drive on the first tee.

Congrats to all the winners and maybe next year to the non-winners (LOSERS sounds so harsh)
I will discuss the match between myself and JB with FG to work out if a forfeit by me is appropriate.
I'm certain a great day was had by all as Rennie is certainly a fine host.
Perhaps someone could post all the scores for the players if the comp was PAR/STB for the day.

Whilst I missed what sounds like a great day I didt achieve something, I taught my daughter to ride her bike without training wheels, VERY SATISFYING.....

Chappy, there was a stableford comp but no formal leaderboard was finalised. I will post the scores that I can remember in the Rosebud thread and others can fill in the gaps.
