Default How do you (if at all) mark your golf ball?

I play a pro v1x, and being a popular ball it is essential to mark it to distinguish it from others on the course (and hopefully stop the old fellas hitting/stealing it)

i mark mine with 3 red dots in a triangle arrangement just on top of the titleist log either side ofg the ball.

I have seen some funky players markes, what are yours?

I red dot next to each of the numbers and a red line over the ProV1x writing on the side.

A line over the logo/sight line, and a smiley face near the number.

My favourite was the **** Off Henno ball. But normally a smiley face or skull and crossbones.

I get high number Titleists shipped from the US with my initials on them. Doesn't stop some of the old blokes picking them up when they stop rolling.

Yeah, it's a shame it was donated to the golf gods.

We can never play together then, that is how I mark my ball too. Sometimes I put a green alignment line through the side logo but not always.

Phew. I do identical, but with a Bridgestone label.

Ironically, I also mark half the dozen with 3 green dots, just in case someone else uses 3 red dots.

I had a bad experience a few years ago. Had a superduper round going and hit someone elses ball. Same ball. Different number. Lesson learned.

Usually with a foreign coin. And always behind the ball. Never to the side or in front. And definitely never with a plastic marker.

I mark it with a coin in front of the ball and then place the ball in front of the marker. Repeat this a few times and you can pick up 8 or 9 inches.

    Is that allowed?
