The dwarfman is now also the little ironman.

After 4 months of interviews and medicals for multiple jobs, I was finally offered a contracting role (to BHP) in the Pilbara at Area C. It's on an 8 day on/ 6 day off roster and is a hydro technician role. Responsibilities entail field assisting, well installation, soil logging, groundwater sampling, reporting as well as general hand for the drillers, functioning as a member of the mine's dewatering team for the iron ore project - that is set to quadruple in size! There is a good chance that the position will become permanent after 6 - 12 months if all goes well, most ppl generally get BHP contracts in the long run.

Hopefully my swing will co-incide with the JC/Veeman dule and also November champs. But there will be at least a couple of weeks until I start. Swing and start date are to be confirmed this week.

Great News Nuffie. Not a bad swing at all, just long enough for the better half to start missing you but no so long that she is ringing up JC

    Haha. Nice one pf.

It will be interesting now having 8 days away from civilisation, but it is a good roster. Might need to invest in a boomerang putting device and least that way, may get a chance to do some putting practice each nite before going to bed.

I am seriously close to pulling the pin on the 2011 Matchplay.

If I was playing anyone other than 'Fit, I would have done so by now. But even though I will probably lose convincingly, I am not sure I can let the duck waddle his way into the next round without a fight.

The Duck is close to pulling the pin due to a bad webbed foot.

My money is on the duck if the weather stays wet during the contest. Sore webbed foot or not, beware the injured duck!

He is a good mud runner in the wet. And Fit boasts a solid links golf history of which origin traces back to where of course... where else but... Carnoustie.

The webbed feet prevent him from sinking too far into the ground.

Is it part of the same round that still needs to be completed? I can't see on my phone. What kind of a timeline are you looking at?

    Good stuff veefore.

Glad to be attending what will surely be a good catchup and day of golf.

It will also be good to go around Hartfield for the first time since may.

T'is a shame qbnchopper is tied up and can't play his match. He has played well to this point in the matchplay and was very solid against me at Wanneroo.
