Out of curiosity, when you boys are playing your matchplay, do you play the mind games like some of the pro's do?

I was reading a book a little while ago, and it was saying that many of them will play one club shorter, so they can be first on the green and try and make their opponent hit it inside their ball, putting that little bit more pressure on them and stuff like that.

We are not at that level. Most of our guys are just happy to hit the green. Yoss is really the only guy that's concerned with sliding inside his opponent.

That strategy is also flawed in a game involving handicaps.

Got a call from Simmsy today and due to personal circumstances won't be able to play our match anytime soon.

Mega, i see the options as either substitute someone else in or proceed to round 2. I'm happy either way.

Golfnut and I will play our match on the Secret Harbour day. A little late than the original plan, but GN has too many Sunday brunches that he can't miss.

I think Shadesy registered some interest. Would be convenient for me to take on Rubin given we are already playing on Sunday and getting a time agreed is most of the battle !

If no permission is required then i'm going to make an executive decision

Bergsey v Rubin this Sunday ! side benefit is that we will be able to zone out Nuff and TF !
