Haha. 17. Great hole, especially off the blues (read, 'it's a real prick').
Especially after snake gully which is supposedly the hardest par 4 in QLD.

You don't like it Daves?
What that photo doesn't show is the blue tees, which are behind that line of trees in the top left.

No, shit of a hole. A bit like the 2nd at Mt. Warren Park. Makes no sense from the Tees. From the Blues the corner is out of reach for the average golfer. From either tee the landing area isn't really visible and there is no indication of length required to reach the ideal corner position. Very easy to hit through the EOF and you have no shot if you do. Bemuses me that the bridge from the back tee position has been out for months as well. So you have to walk all the way back to the 16th and then walk the long way around.

Don't start me on the bridge! It's those type of things that bring the course down. It'd be great to get all the paths redone and the garden beds be shown some TLC.

Ahh yes, the 17th! Shocking hole. There's about 10-20m landing area. Too short, blocked out. Too long, in the creek or blocked out. It's possible to bomb it over the houses if you can avoid the sight screen and can stop it quickly enough when it lands. Shocking hole.

It wouldn't be all that hard to fix I would have thought Rich? Move the Tee boxes to the left to open up the shot a bit, take out about 5 to 10m of trees on the corner.

The house behind the green is already in play. Hit it on the full one day with an approach shot flyer out of the rough.

I can probably make it on the 19th. So what are the course choices for this day? Windyroo, Wally Park and maybe Brookie? Any others? Any due to be cored now?, it is that time of year again! Carbrook was done this week, Reddie Bay is being done next week.

Meh, I like 17. Except off the blues. Ha!
Windaroo has been cored (got done just after the floods) so it should be coming back sweet as.
Booking sheets come out Sat if we're interested in playing on the 19th, i'll book some groups in...

FWIW there is no issues getting on Helensvale on a saturday after 11.30. The greens were down about 2 months ago.

Criticism doesn't bother me, as it means I am doing something and people are watching.

AP, are you cool for a game at Windaroo? I don't want to upset anyone along the way.

Make it Windaroo. As much as I want to catch up with you, the rest of the weekend is just too full for me to expect to play golf that morning.

Nor does it show the gold Winnebago at number 25 with my, or should I say a 'friend' of mine's, precept plugged somewhere around it's rear end... I had visions of this 80 year old septic with a zimmer frame and a 12 gauge racing out to settle the score.
