Allowable formats
There has been some discussion around the types golf formats allowed under the Eclectic comp.
The following are allowable (official club competitions):
- Stroke (and multiples of i.e. 2 ball)
- Par (and multiples of i.e. 2 ball)
- Stableford (and multiples of i.e. 2 ball)
This list is set for the moment.
If anything is not clear or needs updating let me know.
Clarifications ....
1. Matchplay scores may be used, provided it is an official club competition.
2. Eclectic handicap is 1/2 of final GolfLink handicap (ie. 11.59pm 31/12/2011).
3. Recording of scores on holes with a temporary tee (or green) is at the player's discretion.
Rule of thumb - If the nature of the hole changes significantly or it is playing easier, the honourable thing is to refrain from recording an improved score for that hole, until normal play of the hole resumes.
