When I hit the Zip with a long iron it felt like I was hitting one of those indoor plastic balls.

Really? I quite liked them, but then I play with shovels, so don't really have much feel!

Found over 20 balls and 3 new species of snakes but no Penta.

Pissed off as it was becoming a great tussle before that errant drive.

Next match this arvo after the Australia Day Stableford moves from course to bar.

Didn't say I didn't like them, just felt like shagging with 2 rubbers on.

    Later Precept

    5/ Precept U-Tri Tour - AndyP
    6/ Bridgestone e6 - Peppas

    Date and round: 27/01/11 - 3 of 31
    Course and weather conditions: fine

    1/248m 4 pars
    2/298m 4 pars
3/312m 4 par 1 up U-Tri ( one of the groundstaff briefly joined my round and had a few hits of the U-Tri with his Toro blades and left the ball looking like an original Titleist Balata after 3 rounds of golf with Solarman. Four big cuts on the ball penetrating through the outer cover. Not sure if it was a par as the ball had been hit 4 times by me and 4 times with the mower blades. )
4/358m 4 pars ( The Precept with some serious stuctural damage flew wierdly right and into the trees, so I punched a 3 iron under the branches and followed up with a 8 iron. The putt was 12 ft downhill and the ball though wobberly tracked nicely to the hole.
    5/389m 4 bogies
6/166m 3 par SQ ( both balls were on the green, but the Precept had started to Nadal on me big time and the ball rolled like it had had one to many sherbets.
7/455m 5 par 1 up E6 ( Precept was now all over the place and a 5 iron well struck to the green only went half the distance and bounced hard right then hard left. Still managed a bogie )
8/518m 5 par 2 up E6 ( From the tee the Precept took off wildly to the left, followed it up with a beautifully struck 3 wood, although it felt like I hit a bag of frozen peas. On the next shot the ball completely ruptured and that was that.

    NTP

    6th Peppas - Nike Gold 467cms
    9th Steve57 - Titleist Pro V1x 402cms
    13th
    14th
    18th Baybam - Nike Gold 687cms

    Longdrive 4th Peppas - Bridgestone E6 268m

i wonder, have you noticed any "subliminal" effect?
do you find yourself barracking for, say, the nike over the prov1 and although not deliberately,
hit poorer shots with the v1 as a result?
coz i'm pretty sure this would happen to me.

Does a proctologist favour one arse over another, or does he apply his knowledge systematically to the given medical situation. I just get on with the business at hand and play the matchplay as 2 seperate entities. I would game a Penta and Pro V1x but not a Zip or E6.

Obviously Team E6 paid off the groundskeeper. There should be a rematch.

I'm not happy with the outcome but it wasn't the greens keepers fault as I miss hit the 3 woood and it went straight into the blades on the first bounce.

That's hilarious. One of the matchplay participants gored by a fairway mower.

I might use that tactic in future.

The competition will consist of 32 different types of golf balls, so I suggest you nominate early.

Just nominate your ball and your in. I shouldn't have any trouble sourcing the balls unless you nominate a Rextar Balata(got one of these anyway).

The winner will receive one dozen golf balls of their choice. Can be different to the ball nominated. Will PM you at conclusion and you can tell me what you want.

A draw will be posted on this thread once the 32 spots are filled and results will be posted. I will also do my best to describe the performance characteristics of the different pills.

The nominated ball must make it through the 5 rounds to win and a lost is DQed. There is no water hazards here but a stray drive out of bounds into the cow paddock can undo a potential champs run.

No need to copy this draw just nominate your spot on the draw and your ball of choice.
    6/ Srixon Z Star X for example.

Oi Ferrins, if I could make a suggestion you should ask Courty to do you up a nice spreadsheet for the OP. He doesn't work very hard and I'm sure he could fit that into his schedule. Best to ask him before he gets knocked out.
