Default Yet another "help me choose a ball" thread.

Ok my stash of TM TP Black LDP balls is getting low ( they lasted a long time Adlo) and I need to stock up on something that suits my game.

I play off 11. Swing speed around 90. 5 iron goes 150. I DON'T want check on chips. I play more of a bump and run game around greens. I want distance off the tee.

    What do I get?

Wilson C25 or D25 sound like what you are after. Both very good balls.

Have you tried Optima Tour Soft+?? Nice off the tee, get up easy off irons, don't scuff too much, stop after a few bounces on the green...Stu

Nope. Just been through 2 doz of these. They spin too much around the green for me. You see, I can make them check, but not consistently. But that's another story. (when I want them to bite they don't. When I want to run them up to the hole they bite and stop. Drives me fkn nuts)

I'll do some research on these because I've never heard of them and I haven't quite worked you out yet.

Just checked the Top-Flite website and sure enough they still exist. I remember from my time as a member at Gordonvale that these were the type of balls (specifically the Hot XL version) given out for the rundown.

Just get any ball you like and put it in the freezer overnight. That should firm it up.
