Default WOLLONGONG: Launch monitor session and BBQ at Jono's

Just throwing this out there to see how many people would be interested.

I've got a launch monitor/golf simulator that I bought a while ago but haven't had time to use (or health for that matter! ) I'm thinking of hosting a launch monitor day at my place probably in January or Feb where you can bring some clubs you want to try and get the launch stats for that club. This will be followed by a BBQ for NSW Ozgolfers to put some faces to names.

This might be a good chance to bring your spare clubs that others can try on the launch monitor and buy or trade.

I put this idea forward to Virge and he was pretty keen so you might even be able to get a lesson from Virge on the lauch monitor.

What do you think? Who would be interested?

I'd be keen Jono. Speaking of putting names to faces, you can't make it to the Mt Broughton game? I believe it'll be a NSW Ozgolf participant record.

    Count me in.

EDIT: I only just saw the bit implying that it could be a buy, swap and sell opportunity. This could be interesting

Depending on timing, I'm in. Last 2 weeks of January i'll be in HK and then at the outlaws in QLD.

Sounds like fun. It will depend on dates and I've got a bit planned already in early Feb, but I'll keep an eye on it.

I'm thinking of hosting it early January (either weekend of 9th/10 or 16th/17th) but I'll run a poll after I get an idea of how many are interested.

    Hey guys, let me know:

    1) when you prefer to have this

    2) when you can't make it.

Jono, of the 2 weekends you posted I think 9th/10th Jan will be the most likely one, since the following week my cricket season resumes after the new year break and I play on Sat arvos. Otherwise if it's a Sunday I should be OK as long as a date is set before Christmas.

I'll aim to set the date by end of next week at the latest.

Any further thought about the date, Jono? I may have a bit of an issue with my poor ribs like you had with yours (cricket war wound for me though), so my attendance (at least for the launch monitor fun and games) may be dependent on my recovery time. Would still probably be keen to attend for the BBQ though.

I'm also from Wollongong and wouldn't mind having a bash on a launch monitor, never done that before. I can always use a lesson too

    Add me to the list.

I hope these launch monitors are like real golf, and lowest score wins.

Will it work for Duck hooks, could be interesting how fast they are going left.
