I dont know whether the branch was touching the ball or not. I was not close enough to see, but that remains irrelevant to the issue. From about 5 or 10 metres away all i could tell was that it was going to be impossible for me to move it without moving the ball, probably because of other sticks or leaves around. Perhaps with the careful assistance of another i might have been able to not move the ball

Not that this has ever happened to me, nor have I heard it happen, but what if that did actually occur, in that while looking for a ball, ur playing partner finds and 'kicks' or similar into a better lie/position and then calls that they've found it? You would be none the wiser, unless they told u, but wot would be the ruling?

normally when you take relief from a situation you must take full relief. However there is an exception/variation to the casual water rule when in a bunker. You are permitted to drop in the bunker in the best relief possible, when there is no clear relief available. Your mileage varies in that situation.

Yes. It is listed in the appendix of the rule book. I think the minimum lie from perpendicular is 10 degrees.

This one came up during Wednesday's comp. The ball finished under a heavy timber bench. The bench was not fixed or embedded in the ground, though it had heavy concrete feet. I was able to move the bench by myself, so said (I was their marker) it was a moveable obstruction and moved it out of the way for the player to hit their shot, then replaced it in its original position. All ridgy didge?
