Match play Semi Final: Johnny Canuck vs. NUFFIE - Sat Nov 6, 9AM - Kennedy Bay
It's officially on like Donkey Kong.
The People's Champion.
The Defending Champion.
Loved by the ladies.
Admired by the men.
Johnny Canuck
brings his royal sexiness to his home away from home, The Links Kennedy Bay to take on,
The King of CAPITALISATION,
The Master of the run-on sentence,
The escapee of Middle Earth,
The Frodo Baggins stunt double,
NUFFIEthegolfman
.
The Nuffster has the advantage of 1 stroke. Will this be enough?
Only time will tell.
Due to that fact that we are at the back of the comp, yours truly, the natural charmer, will provide live updates (unless I'm losing).
Winner gets:
The Doctor of the hook,
The man who's colour rhymes with Borange,
The man who when he worked in Subway always got hit with "Make me a sanga, ranga!",
Megawatty
in the finals.
Who is ready to face the Coq? (besides Yoss)
Tune in tomorrow to find out.

Credit to JC playing so well on his former home track.
His approach into 18 was the best wind cheating iron shot I've seen in my life, from 150 out and into a 3 -4 club wind.
However myself being "blown" away sounds about right, I know now how Dorothy felt in the Wizard of Oz when that twister hit Kansas:
Except in my case "it definitely wasn't hartfield (not Kansas) anymore todo
"

This was my first time down the 19th, but no excuse when you have someone 5 down and eventually dormy 4.

Exactly what I was thinking. What JC shoot on the last 5?
FYI Mike. The last 5 at KB are traditionally straight into the wind. And it's always a decent wind there.
When you coming over? We can compare Dragons jumpers throughout the years. I have two classics with signatures. Plus the legends framed one.

Yeah, was even after 9, then 7 over after 16 and finished 16 over after 18.
I still look at my playing card whilst sitting here at home, it will take me weeks to comprehend what went wrong.
He just kept coming and coming, when he made the par on wee tap (16th) it hit me like a tonne of bricks.
I was descimated....coz I played my downhill putt cautiously and simply didn't expect him to make his.

Yeah c'mon. Gettin' late over here.

I gathered that.

You'd be disappointed. I have only the one. BUT it has Wayne Bennett 2010 on the back. I wanted him to write "thanks mike for all the advice" but he was in a bit of a hurry.
Having said that, I've got a story for ya. PM on it's way.

Mike does the story involve a staffy cross?

Into the wind, JC is unbeatable. I have not played anyone who comes down on the ball as hard and delofts as much as 2 clubs.
Haven't played with Hocko yet, but JC can hit these low flat missiles with a 7 iron similar to the sizzle of the ball out of Lincecums' hand.
Sorry for the baseball metaphor as I am watching the Heat play the USA Allstars at the moment.

Last 5:
14: I missed pin high right, tried to putt it up the hill and failed. Nuffie with an easy par.
4 down.

15: Nuffie hit a little fade right and left himself a lot in. His approach landed way up the hill and he asked if he should hit a provisional. It was only natural that his ball would emerge from the thick kack, bounce down the hill and stop 20m short of the green in the centre of the fairway.
I hit a big drive, an 8 iron to the front edge and got my par.
Nuffie 3rd went a little long and he missed the comebacker.

Wee Tap: I was short with a 7 iron from 125m to a front left pin. Nuffster missed pin high, way right.
Nuffster chipped a big long to about 17 feet. I narrowly missed draining my putt up the hill and left myself about 12-15 feet.
Nuff missed and got the gimmie 4.
I hit my most clutch shot of the match to keep it going.

17 off the Tigers- JC big drive. Nuffie fade into the trees right, provisional trees left.
Nuffie took a drop, a punch, a second punch, a left handed shot and then a full swing to be in the fairway for 6.
I thought the safest play was a 2 hybrid, screw trying to lay up in those winds. Left myself 50m and stuck it to 5-6 feet. Nuffster conceded, I tried the putt and missed.
