    Default 2011 NQ Matchplay

    NQ Matchplay Rules

    - The draw will be performed immediately after the 2010 Matchplay Final on 06/11/10 at Sea Temple. Names will be drawn out of a hat by the 2010 Winner and positioned on the draw (below) in the order they are drawn. These positions are final. If anyone doesn't like it they will be forfeited and possibly banned.

    - Comp is knockout. Once you lose, you're out. There must be a result before the next round can commence, so I recommend against leaving matches until right before the deadline. Rematches are encouraged if time allows, but not compulsory. Entrants may agree to make other arrangements at their own discretion, as long as I am advised of the outcome. If anyone doesn't like it they will be forfeited and possibly banned.

    - Completion dates for each round are firm but may be relaxed (at my discretion) as long as effort is being made to get match played (ie. rematches due to draws). Otherwise I will forfeit both and possibly ban both.

    - A new 1st Tee thread needs to be started for each match. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture and potential banning.

    - More will be added (if necessary) as I think of it.

1st amendment: Just in case you didn't get the hint, whingers will be forfeited and possibly banned (not necessarily in that order).

2nd amendment: Current handicaps as per Golflink must be used. Handicap fixing (or suspicion of handicap fixing) will result in being forfeited and possibly banned.

Not a real fan of PP at the moment. Have heard some bad reports that the fairways are good but the greans have turned to crapola, if thats the case I'm not paying 100 odd to play on crappy greens. I'm happy for mareeba cause the course will still be in good nick from the open.

Sounds like Mareeba is the go. What are your thoughts Brett?

Oh, and what are you playing off?

Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

Mareeba sounds good. Lets lock it in Eddie.

As far as handicap goes, no idea. My golflink card is at home. From memory I'm real close to 9
And the mayor announced from Thursday on should not be shat into the creek anymore, because on Saturday beer is brewed.

Count me in for a round.
I will have to practice some sledging though.
Been out of touch lately with no golf being played.
Think I may use yellow balls too after hitting someone else's last weekend.

Sorted. I'm off 13 (no comments out of you NK).

Are you able to make the booking or do you want me to attend to it? If you would like I can start a thread once the tee times are booked.

So a solid 33 pts last weekend doesn't count? (although it was from the Ladies tees ).

Tomson, I'm happy with Mareeba at the end of the month now that I don't work weekends (cue the happy dance). TO ALL: Please see my other thread re: Mareeba Open (1st Tee).

My wife has just "remembered" something that she has on in the morning of the 30th of April.

Brett, would it be inconvenient for you if we arranged a late morning / early afternoon tee time?

Sheldon that Saturday is not really good as I have a wedding on that weekend. Any other week end will be good. We could even try sea temple if you want to.

Tomson, I'd prefer Mareeba myself but it's not a deal breaker. What about the weekend before (23-24)? Either Sat or Sun?

Nice Tomson! Talking it up! Saturday 30th April at Mareeba. If you are happy with this date, you start the new thread and I'll jump in with the sledging. Beer a hole perhaps? (On top of the glory?)

I don't doubt it. In fact, I even reckon I could narrow down who you'd kill to only a couple of people.

Mike, I'm planning on him forfeiting this round and winning the whole kit and kaboodle by forfeit. I have a plan and a strategy and I'm sticking to it!
