    Default 2011 NQ Matchplay

    NQ Matchplay Rules

    - The draw will be performed immediately after the 2010 Matchplay Final on 06/11/10 at Sea Temple. Names will be drawn out of a hat by the 2010 Winner and positioned on the draw (below) in the order they are drawn. These positions are final. If anyone doesn't like it they will be forfeited and possibly banned.

    - Comp is knockout. Once you lose, you're out. There must be a result before the next round can commence, so I recommend against leaving matches until right before the deadline. Rematches are encouraged if time allows, but not compulsory. Entrants may agree to make other arrangements at their own discretion, as long as I am advised of the outcome. If anyone doesn't like it they will be forfeited and possibly banned.

    - Completion dates for each round are firm but may be relaxed (at my discretion) as long as effort is being made to get match played (ie. rematches due to draws). Otherwise I will forfeit both and possibly ban both.

    - A new 1st Tee thread needs to be started for each match. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture and potential banning.

    - More will be added (if necessary) as I think of it.

1st amendment: Just in case you didn't get the hint, whingers will be forfeited and possibly banned (not necessarily in that order).

2nd amendment: Current handicaps as per Golflink must be used. Handicap fixing (or suspicion of handicap fixing) will result in being forfeited and possibly banned.

Amazing how easy it is to organise a matchplay game isn't it?
And the mayor announced from Thursday on should not be shat into the creek anymore, because on Saturday beer is brewed.

Are you nuts? There's rain forecast for November 5th.

I don't play in the rain.

30th is good for me too. Now all we need is a venue - who says organising matchplay rounds is hard.

Certainly not difficult for a couple of professionals.

    For the venue:

    - I haven't seen Royal Gordonvale for a while but would assume that it should be at least green following the rains.
    - We have been getting a number of PP members up here playing, not sure what that means?
    - I agree about a neutral venue, so Cairns is out.
    - I've been speaking with the new guy at Mareeba and sounds like he has been working on some things on the course. It should still be in good condition 2 weeks after their Open.

    Thoughts?

    Solarman,

Let me know about games, be good if you had some form on the board, that way I dont have to suffer the pain of playing the winner out of the other two!

Thanks for that Brett. I'm inclined to go with Mareeba, like you say two weeks after their Open so it should still be in good condition. Even if it means that we do have to play with a couple of muppets, err... I mean NK and Solarman.

An early tee time would be preferable, is this ok with you?

Early works for me, even if it is with those other two.

Let's decide between Mareeba and Paradise Palms.

Yep, Mike is a sook. Probably more now since St. Benny told them he's out.

    Go Haysey

Tomson, you feel like jumping on one of the dates mentioned? I no longer work at Royal G, so +1 to anything Haysey says.

I haven't played Mareeba in a while so I'm happy to have a hit there, having said that PP is closer to home and less travel time.
Tomson and Sheldon look like they are going to organise their match for the same day - do you guys have a preference for Mareeba or Paradise Palms.

Actually if Haysey and Mike are going to have their match on the 30th as well we should definitely go to PP. That way if Mike does want to join us he has to ride in a cart.
