The 1.50 Sportsbet were offering power play last night was steeling. Combined 22lengths margin of victory for her 4 times Vic way of going. Wouldn't be surprised to see her make it 30 in 5 after her 3rd Cox. Can't believe people were thinking Humidor was going to be able to give Winx start and run her down. A lot of tall poppies out there

Sportsbet had a promo on last night whilst I was watching racing.com having a bet at the valley for the $1.50 powerplay. Max bet I could get on for was 500.

Beaten all comers over all distances. Will win the Cox Plate, again. Better than Black Caviar. Better than Makybe Diva. Better than Kingston Town.

Any thoughts about today’s, not only Australia’s richest race but the worlds richest race on turf? For me as someone who is a horse racing enthusiast and who appreciates tradition and horse racing history it was a major disappointment. I never had a bet onthe race but was deep down hoping to see a big grey flash...not to be. I’m not sure why the ATC find the need to invent a Mickey mouse race other than to spite Melbourne at this time off year.
The crowds looked good and interest level outshone the best 3 year olds in Melbourne. So I guess it’s here to stay. Write down Redzel, as it no doubt will be in many trivia comps in the future.

Since I doubt this would win, I rolled a place bet into 2 other unlikely wins (Oakland Raiders and Wobblies). Raiders win today, first leg up!
