Look for a Kiwi stayer - Harris Tween, Monaco Consul came out of the Caulfield Cup

Anything with mudrunning form is good.

Then just load up on Shocking as it should donkey lick them at $5

Ah yes, I fondly remember Subzero. It came around the turn like a rocket.

Wait till after the races are run tomorrow, bottom weights are not suited this year as they raised the minimum from 49 to 53 compressing the weights, based on this top weights are in good and the bottom weights are in not so good.

Shocking is a huge chance based on Caulfield cup run, but I want to see the run of So You Think tomorrow, not if he wins just mainly his mid race sectional and how he finishes off.

If So You Think can run a strong 2 miles, then the race will be over at the top of the straight. Personally I don't like backing horses having their first crack at 2 miles on a bog track.
For better value, horses the likes of Americain, Maluckyday & Manighar all love the wet and they are proven over longer trips.
I would love to see Shocking make it back to back Cups as well.

Isn't shocking form the outside barrier? Be tough. How many mudders in the field?

Yep. It'd be the first time in forty years or something since a horse has won the cup from the far barrier. That's if Shocking can do it.

How many mudders in the field?
    Quite a few.

If So You Think gets the trip he will win by 5 lengths eased down, he is thrown in at the weights being 2kg under weight for age.

Horses for multiples, Once Were Wild will beat Americain home look at the Geelong cup again and her run on the weekend was sensational.

    My tips in order

    1st) So You Think
    2nd) Daylight
    3rd) Once Were Wild
    4th) Maluckyday
    5th) Linton
    6th) Descarado
    7th) Illustrious Blue

I take it we aren't talking about Damien Oliver (unless it was quite a few years back)?

I don't normaly warm to the overseas horses, but this year I am very keen on Americain & Manighar @ $11.50 & $24
If So You Think does manage to win, he will be only the second horse other than Phar Lap to win 2 Cox Plates & a Melbourne Cup.
