Default Mt Broughton, Sunday 12 December, 9am

I mentioned this in another thread a few weeks ago - now that Terry and I have agreed on a day, here's the thread to see if we can get a record number of people at a NSW Ozgolf day.

First group will hit off at 9am. $35 (member's guest rate) and $50 with shared cart.

Check with those who matter most to you to see if you're able to make it, and add your name to the list.

Dunnings? Those would be the same type that Blakey was selling. Utterly garish.

I haven't decided on my ensemble as yet, but the NSW sky blue will feature somehow and I'll don one of my Ozgolf polos.

That would be them then. Love them, although my wife does not. Tried on my loudmouth this afternoon and in 2 weeks I reckon I could fit into them. Will be seen at the next ACT/NSW challenge. No Ozpolf polo for me a lovely purple Gympie Pines Golf Shirt will be worn.

Five series in a row? We're 40% of the way there against the Tourettes Twins.

Guys, I'm very very sorry to have to do this, but I've just received word of an urgent matter that I will need to deal with on Sunday. So I need to unfortunately bring the numbers down to 12.

Benno and Scooter, I'll see if I can give your clubs to matty and get him to take them down to you, and you can give him the money to give to me. Matt, I'll PM you when the sun rises to see whether you'll be able to assist.

Otherwise I'll post the clubs to you guys on Monday and PM you my bank details tomorrow.

Sorry again, fellas - I was really looking forward to it. But priorities have sort of changed in an instant, and I can play Mt B some time in the future.

That sucks ass, and sorry to hear.

Hope all ends well, and maybe you can come down to Gungahlin Lakes (or I can play Glenmore) as part of the reciprocal deal.

Yep, will definitely do the reciprocal thing some time early in 2011, Benno.

I'll PM you guys my bank details - had a bit of a weird night and only slept for an hour in the end, so probably won't be able to get the clubs to Matt considering I have a cricket game this arvo and some other business to deal with this morning. I can send them through work, so no need to pay any extra for postage.

Now we are down to 12 (I move on quickly), we'll need to work out matchups

terrys will win 8 and 7 against whoever he plays. What is the handicap Tez?
wbennett v Dotty in NSWvACTMatchplay Wars 3
BlueScooter (26) vs NSW Highest Handicapper
macjackass - ACT's Low marker? vs NSW's low marker?
    Dotty is going down
    Matty - what's your number?
tg01 will teach Grunt a lesson
Jerry Springer off 9 - he's our secret weapon
Tongueboy will be too tired after his dirty weekend
Grunt will fall asleep in the cart after working nightshift to lose to TG
Jono is on the comeback trail and a good chance at a vitory - but what is his mark these days?
Philthy Phil - off 20, course could suit his middle of the fairway bunting style.

Just spoke to the course. All looking good. Course is open for full play today.

They had 70mm on Thursday, but it was fine yesterday and is fine again today with some wind. There will be no carts.

They said there was a little standing water on 5 but it is dissipating fast. The worst part is on 17 before the fairway starts and down the left as I posted in the photos.

They are going to try and cut the first cut of rough this afternoon I believe.

    temp forecast is 23 tomorrow.

Hmmmm. Benno gets a shot on 17 and the worst place to land a tee shot is short and left ?

I suspect he has been sneeking up there overnight and watering it.

Looking forward to it. See you all tomorrow.

Hit a few good ones and a few horrors as well. Stuck between two drivers, might take both and decide on the morning at the range...

Ive been rapidly drifting out since the baby was born and I think it's 22 now. Thats still not enough at the moment. The only way I can hit the fairway is to get out a wedge on the tee, aim it 75 degrees left, and shank it down the centre

Probably won't be able to get down there, Matt. I copped a somewhat pacey cricket ball in the upper rib cage this arvo and the pain certainly ain't dissipating. I don't think it's a cracked rib, but it bloody hurts to cough and do any sort of backswinging.

EDIT: I've read a few medical websites and compared symptoms. Reckon an x-ray could be on the cards...
