Default Mt Broughton, Sunday 12 December, 9am

I mentioned this in another thread a few weeks ago - now that Terry and I have agreed on a day, here's the thread to see if we can get a record number of people at a NSW Ozgolf day.

First group will hit off at 9am. $35 (member's guest rate) and $50 with shared cart.

Check with those who matter most to you to see if you're able to make it, and add your name to the list.

I played the back 9 this afternoon. the fairways and greens were in perfect shape. the only issues were where the ground staff had been driving the maintenance vehicles through the rough and on pathways and where they had done they were a bit cut up and muddy. As I suspected, the old bunkers were holding water, but the renovated ones were fine.

17 was the only hole that had some excessive dampness, with a few muddy spots down the left bordering the dam and in the run off area to the small pond.

The proshop did say that they don't think there will be any carts back on the course until next week, so Andrew, that may be an issue for you.

If we don't have any real heavy rain before Sunday, it will be fine

I took some pics. i'll post them shortly.

    Thanks Terry

Having a look at the weather radar, I don't like our chances of missing significant rain tonight or tomorrow...

Yeah, I just looked at it as well...not looking fantastic. But we can hope

Benno and Scooter, I do have a spare mailing box to ship the wedge and putter down if this ends up being postponed/canned. But hopefully we won't have to resort to that.

If worst comes to worst, happy to combine shipping - as up until a week ago we sat next to each other 5 days a week

I will be using the force to make good things happen for this weekend.

Hopefully the rain out West Wyalong way continues more South East and misses us.

Some pics attached. I put my buggy in front of the long rough to show how high it is. the muddy bit is just before the fairway on 17.

Hmmm...might have to follow Benno's strategy and bring 67 assorted rocks.

First cut was about 2.5-3inches. Heath said they'll cut it to 1.5" if the rain holds off. the muddy shit was only in one spot, and the landing zone is well beyond there.

You and Benno should be okay. The train tracks are laid on a crushed rock base and drain well.

That will be an issue. I wouldn't be able to walk nine at the moment, so I will have to give it a miss. Unfortunately, I tend to bring bad weather to Mount Broughton. The last 3 times I've played there is has rained.

Maybe we could have a hit there some other time. It would be good to meet you, Terry.

    Hi All

Andrew having to drop out due to no carts means I will possibly have to as well as I cant drive down myself straight after night shift.

    Anyone?
The same offer as I made to Andrew is available to all, Drive my car as fuel is paid for under salary sacrifice. Drive to my place and load your gear in my car and away we go.

Goulburn speedway has been cancelled due to the rain but Phil and I will still be there. Look out the guy with the green shorts, white belt and no game and you will know you are playing with bluescooter

Not the green ones that Blakey was flogging off a couple of months back I hope, Scooter? They were hideous.

13's an unfortunate number... Will we lose another or gain 3 more? That is the question!

Blue is for Carlton Blues, Scooter is a nickname my old softball team gave me. The green pants have checks and were bought from Rockbottom. Wearing them as I put too much weight on over winter, about 8kgs, and can not fit into my Loudmouth purple and yellow diamond pair until I get off my arse and lose some weight.

    See ya Sunday.
