Mt Broughton, Sunday 12 December, 9am
I mentioned this in another thread a few weeks ago - now that Terry and I have agreed on a day, here's the thread to see if we can get a record number of people at a NSW Ozgolf day.
First group will hit off at 9am. $35 (member's guest rate) and $50 with shared cart.
Check with those who matter most to you to see if you're able to make it, and add your name to the list.

I'm looking a little darker shade of pencil at this stage. I am having the following week off to look after the kiddies so the wife is sympathetic to me "needing" to get out of the house.
Happy to share a cart within someone if need be.

I'll be that someone. (I'll be doing well to play 18 even with a cart)

It is time for ACT to turn the tables, surely by the time this will be held, Benno will be out to 18 and I will be back in form. Only have 2 years of poor form to turn around in 6 weeks....

Won't you just stick to playing with your 7 iron for the whole round anyway ?

So, do you want that cart or not?

To make the scoring easier, Benno, we can play off the same handicap.
Just like the old days.
ps. KJ, you can ink me in.
You don't get me. I'm part of the Union.

Played today for the first time in a few months. Course is in super condition. Rough is the longest i have ever seen it. Fairway rough is 2-3" in the first cut, 6 inches n those areas where there is a second cut, and the extreme rough is 4-5 feet.
There are two bunkers GUR on 17 as they are replacing them, but otherwise it was perfect. Club Champs next weekend.

Sorry guys, I am definitely out of this now. Tried to get the Saturday night off but my request has been rejected due to a leave lockout at work that week.
Enjoy, dont let the ACT boys win.

Any idea what height the fairways/greens are cut at?
The rough heights seem a little extreme as well. They musn't have cut them in awhile for them to be 2 inches in the first cut.

Fairways and greens are perfect. First cut is 50mm. Grass is growing quicker here than they can cut it. For the champs on the weekend they had cut down the second cut to 75mm. It'll stop growing as quick in the next couple of weeks, but i'd still expect a rough height of 50mm (or 2inches for the mathematically challenged).
the rough is meant to be extreme. that is how they protect the course. Hit it in the fairway and you'll have no problem.

I've booked 4 Carts so there won't be any problem if you want to ride.
If they don't get enough players to run a regular comp and we have more than 6 starters they are happy to run the cards through golflink for us.
