Reading though the "better" thread, I saw a suggestion from Vegas on doing eclectic during the Champs. This is probably in the too hard basket, but I thought it might be interesting to do after the event just for the hell of it.

Can you beat Oxy's 42pts from the first day?

The stretch of holes 12-15 gave me 2 points eclectic. Garbage!
A 3 and 4 pointer on the 4th made the hole seem easy.

Having said that, what is an 'eclectic'?

You take the best results you have from each hole and add them together for your total score. Clubs sometimes run these over a set period like a year.

a higher handicap than 13 is used for those scores. thats why it stands out to me, i thought you must have been on close to 16.

can't remember all the holes. There are a couple of black spots in the middle of each 9. I know for certain that I wiped the 8th both days, FFS.
