    Default Commonwealth Games

Hey Guys, I know it's been a while since I have been on here, let alone posted, but I thought I'd let those who may be interested that my 18yr old brother is competing in the Commonwealth Games. If you happen to be watching, He is one of the few Male Divers Australia has. Those who are interested, his name is Ethan Warren....

Good luck to your bro. Hope he does well.

Won't be watching the Commonwealth Games. IMO it lost its relevance a long time ago.

Good Luck to your brother. Might catch a bit of the Games but most of the time the TV will be muted. Games commentators shit me to tears.

Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

The Comm games are a complete waste of time and money. Unwatchable at best, although there is some interest this time around due to the chance of terrorist activity.

Good luck to your brother 990B. If someone has to win, I hope it is him.

Watch out for the Pakistani in the shot put.

Back when aussies struggled to land a gold at the summer games, the commonwealth games were worth watching. Considering we're now one of the stronger countries at the summer games, the comms are a bit lost. What's the point, does anyone even refer to commonwealth records anymore? I agrees with jack - poor use of sporting money. Could be far better invested in national sporting infrastructure/development.

The problem with that is the major sports tend to eat that money up leaving little for the lesser known sports. Commonwealth and Olympics used to showcase a lot of those sports (although they are starting to go down the popular sports we see a lot of anyway path too).

Go Ethan. Congrats to him for representing the country at such a young age.
Bet he's excited. Is he a chance?
