Whenever I think of the Goodies the first thing that comes to mind is the legend of "icky thump" (I think that's how it was spelt).

Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

    What concerns me

    Seeing hugely obese kids

Look lets be politicaly incorrect "You have made them fat"

If you under feed a child its called neglect (a form of child abuse)

Yet feed a kid junk (most of it cooked at home) No one says a thing

Is over feding a child neglect? Same as under feeding

"Food for thougjt" (exscuse the pun)

On that - a mate of mine is personal trainer..... One of his clients is a 9 yr old boy who weighs 78kg's. Apparently the kid asked his mum to get him a trainer cause he was sick of copping shit at school.

My cousin is 9 this year, and he may be on the small side (i dont know, i have no idea how big 9yr olds should be) but he would struggle to be 30kg's and this kid is 2.5 times his size
    long and soft

If a kid has a double chin he's overweight

30 kg wouldn't be over weight

It concerns me that parents can feed kids anything they like.

    Junk food isnt the issue

Its what they eat at home.If a kid at healthy food 6 nights a week and exercised moderately he could easily eat take away once a week and not get fat.

What parents put into the shopping trolley is whats making us fat.

God you are a narrow minded dipshit. Not all people can be 6ft and 60kilos. We are all different mate.

You have absoultly no clue about anything to do with the human body so why do you keep you shit ****ing comments to yourself.

Come on Tomson, it's possible that dave1 has conducted an in-depth scientific investigation into the eating habits of overweight young Australians. He certainly speaks like he has.

    Give the guy a chance.
Still not playing enough GolfLink | Slightly less terrible stats brought to you by Golfshot - F: 57%, GIR: 23%, UD: 14%, P: 34. Wow, improvement! | Nickent brand ho or tightarse? You be the judge!

You're right I should give him a chance to show his credentials about this in-depth scientific investigation.
