To be fair they're dealing with a cyclone. Cyclones are unpredictable creatures.

In the past I've found them to be truly amazing as to their accuracy when predicting landfall/strength/path.

Today it was crossing at Yeppoon as a cat 2. All of a sudden it's a cat 5, crossing about 200kms North. They are merely reporting what it's doing. As far as forecasting or predicting anything, they are useless.

Agreed mate. We have been monitoring it all day. Due to fly back to the coast tomorrow. Have been saying no way it will cross that far south. Stay safe could be in for a wild night.

I just noticed the ripoff currency rate that my Qantas Cash card is providing for transferring to/from Euro.
$1.59 AUD when I got some Euro, $1.38 to transfer back as I had a bit of Euro leftover. So I am getting fleeced $20 for every 100EU, if I still want to go through with this. Nice work, Qantas.

As much as I'd like to have the money back now, I'm not going to get the 20% on it by putting it on my loan, so it seems wasted. I'm sure I will go back for work or pleasure again next year sometime.

I had this once when I sent a laptop back to my head office in Vic. It was urgent, so I couriered it for the next day.

Ended up that I used a box that was sent to me and failed to realise it was originally addressed on the "wrong" side of the box.

I sent it to Vic. It got there, got sorted and someone saw the original WA address. It was sent back on normal delivery and arrived back at my office about 9 days later.

I didn't realise what had happened until I opened it and realised it hadn't been touched. Didn't help my urgent repair, but pretty much gave me two weeks off work.

Sure, he's a tool and its easy to hate Dutton however is there something wrong with a democracy where you actually cant do anything?

We are presumably on the path to having "social media independents" decide on what is appropriate policy.

Regardless if that whispering **** sparrer Shorten gets elected, he/they should at least be able to do some of what they present to the electorate.

It concerns me that you (or anyone else for that matter) care about what Dutton says, and particularly about what other people say about it on Twitter.

Dutton is only being honest (and stupid). In private, every politician thinks the same thing. And every public servant, including me when I was one, thinks both politicians and the parliament only hinder good decision making and the efficient running of the country. Yes Minister was very accurate in that respect, and still is.

I do recall that our first female Minister governed in minority for a couple of years. Its not easy, but doable if you have an agenda that covers the middle ground.
