I had a 13 today. 4 balls into the same water hazard. Part of a three-hole stretch of 8-13-8, with the last 8 on a par 3. Didn't do a great deal for my round.
Still not playing enough GolfLink | Slightly less terrible stats brought to you by Golfshot - F: 57%, GIR: 23%, UD: 14%, P: 34. Wow, improvement! | Nickent brand ho or tightarse? You be the judge!

My mate and I are both single figures. We try hard and had never won a 4BBB in the 10 years we'd been playing together. One day we played a stroke event at Lynwood and I had a pair of 11's on 9 and 18 and we won the 4BBB!
This bloke would have to go close, albeit a fair amount of water http://sports.espn.go.com/golf/playe...son&id=3385374
We used to play in an event called the World Amateur in Malaysia. Greatest misnomer ever, was just a bunch of rank choppers. Had been looking fwd to it for a few months and had actually done some practice. Drove it right on the opening Par 5, 4 in the water after that, a green side chopfest and wrote down 14, parred the next 8.
Playing partner has 23 on the 8th hole at Bayview in the medal event.
He went completely on "Tilt" and kept trying to get the Sandwedge over the water to a short pin.
The funny thing was that if he had a par on the hole - he would have won the monthly medal by 5. He is a C Grader and he had 40 points on the back 9. The day also included two 10's and an 11.
Excellent golf to watch.
Can't remember the exact number but one of the older guys that plays in one of our groups (is always first off) had high 20's, low 30's on the par-3 13th at Wyong. Took 25 or 26 shots to get out of a bunker. His playing partners were understandably in hysterics for the rest of the round.
I've had 13 on the Par 5 12th at Brisbane GC. Ironically, in the following 3 rounds I had 3, 8 and 4 on the same hole.
I think my worst score on a Par 3 is 11, which was at Wynnum on the downhiller with the stormwater drain to the left. It was during the Wynnum Cup and my wedge let me down just a little, my tee shot actually wasn't too bad!

Pete and I had a 14 on the 18th at Nudgee in our second round of foursomes.
Quick rundown-
Tee shot OB, reload into the fairway. Next shot into the hazard on the right, reload into the front fairway trap. Knife out of bunker OB. Drop in bunker (plug), left in bunker x 3. Hit out of bunker sideways, up and down for a 14.
Thankfully, my brain forgets the big disasters over time. I've had a couple of 10's around Brookwater though. The par 5 4th hole has done it to me twice I think. Just a bastard of a hole if you get in the wrong spot and don't take your medicine.
Any up and down on that green is a good one, Shaz. Well done!
13
On 12. Hit three OB left off the tee! Wind was blowing left to right! I fade driver!
12 on par 5 2nd at Gosford GC. Couple of snap hooks OB off the tee followed by a trek through some trees and a 3 putt to finish.

I had an 11 on the par 5 18th at Cairns a few weeks back. At one point it took 4 shots to move the ball a couple of metres thanks to an unplayable lie (stuck up a tree), and then an unfriendly bounce off the same tree almost back to where I'd hit the unplayable from.
I hate the fact that if I am racking up a big score on a hole I usually manage to hole a long putt.
It's like I take 8 to get to the green and then jag a 1 putt to save 9.
I'm still waiting for Solarman to discover this thread.
You don't get me. I'm part of the Union.
i once had a 14 on a par 5 when i first started out, highlights were 2 hazards 1 air swing which i then took an unplayable followed by 2 tops, was some good golf played that day
I've seen him drive it 280 metres and take 7 shots to go the final 100 metres.
14 at Royal Queanbeyan ... on whats known now as the 11th hole (second hole on the back after you cross the little road)
I think I was hitting 9 off the tee, after 3 hooks out of bounds and a pull oob .... 10th needed an unplayable, 11 into front bunker, out and two putt ! Easy really ! Something like that anyway - but the score was 14 !
On the same hole a couple of weeks later, hooked the first one out of bounds; 3 down the middle holed my 9iron for a 4 of 2 ...
As someone new to the game, this thread has made me feel a lot better about my double digit scores.
14 seems to be a popular score.
I had a 14 at Kingston Links a few years ago.
Playing in the Virginia club championships many years ago I came to the 12th (short par 3) at -2. Came up short and had a dodgy lie in the front bunker, caught it thin and plugged under the lip. Being too stupid to take an unplayable, I took a bunch of angry swipes at it before finally shifting it and walked away with a 12. I then played the final 6 in -1 and signed for a Kevin Na-esque 78. I may have had a higher score when starting out but it's my most memorable big number
Weekend just gone, par 3 17th at New Brighton in the monthly medal. Did my best impressiion of Tin cup and put 4 straight into the water off the tee. Walked away with a 12.
