Default Highest score on a hole

Had a card returned today with an 18 on a 100m par 3 (with no water). Anybody heard of anything that can give that a run or better it?

Nup, maybe a 13 or a 14 but not that high.

What sort of comp was it ? I would be pretty pissed off if it was a stab event and someone kept hacking around to finish a par 3 with an 18 !

I had a 14 on a par 5, but nothing anywhere close to that high.

I watched a guy put 17 balls in the water on the 17th at Kooralbyn once. Finally got over with the 18th ball.

I had a 9 on par 3 at the Mid Amateur 2 years ago.

Yep...the little lady scored a 32 on the 11th (par-5) at Keperra last year. She was just short of the green for 2 and took another 30 shots to hole out.

I am sure AndyP had a big number on a par 3 at Gailes a few years back.

When I last played Ocean shores a guy had 19 on the 18th at Ocean Shores - 4 OOB on the right, one lost in the hazard on the left all from the tee. 6 to get on and a three putt.

One of my older mates took 17 to get out of a bunker one day. From memory he had a 21 all up, 2 in and 2 putts to finish (it was a par 4). One of the most painful things I have ever seen on a course, I had to look away

One of my best ever rounds was kicked off with a 13 on the par 5 first. It's still my worst score on a single hole (although I have come close a few times on the 11th @ Pacific).

I took 17 on the 18th at Palm Meadows (was trying to emulate Normans drive at the Palm Trees.)

Have seen a pair of blokes take 22 on a Par 3 at Wallacia, during foursomes, they just kept going bunker to bunker or leaving it in there...

I cant think of anything better than a 13. But i did it amongst 40 strokes for 4 consecutive holes, and one of them was a 4. I hit 3 Out of bounds off the tee on each hole, then i got unlucky.
All this on a 5 handicap and stone sober.

I think I was hitting my 9th or 10th when I picked up in a bunker.

Haysey told me of a bloke who had a massive score on the water carry par 3 11th at Cairns GC. I can't recall the exact, but it involved dunking a dozen or more balls in the drink.

Started on the 10th hole at Nudgee GC in their back tee event. Turned the corner one under the stick and then had a 10 on the 1st and an 11 on the 2nd. One ball in the drink and 4 lost balls in the space of 2 holes.

Don't quote me but it was 27 shots I am pretty sure, and when he made the green there was a round of applause, but for the two groups banked up on the tee box made for a very slow day. (We were in one of the two groups and I am pretty sure there were three just as we left the tee box)

I didn't think it was possible to do it... but it was done.
