Default Internet geeks unite..... fancy dress party help needed

I knew internet geekiness had some positives.

Anyway, my mate's 30th is a "geek" fancy dress party, and I am stuck for ideas.

And by "geek", it is not the usual glasses/short pants/pens in pocket style of geek-dress up. He is a bit of a geek himself, so it has to based on his interests, which are:

    Sci-Fi TV and movies
    Gaming
    Home Theatre

    That kind of stuff.

Does anyone have any ideas for 2 people, namely me and my wife? There are much better ideas for just a bloke, but for a man and a woman, we are struggling......

    Please help me internet fwends.

Gee thats a tough one, every man and his dog is going to turn up dressed like Lewis Skolnick.

I see no reason to dress like a geek. The best fancy dresses are often something else. Like the chick at the S party that went as an 'out'house. She was just inside this massive box done up like a old fashioned thunderbox. classic stuff, even had a roll of dunny paper on the door.

As a geek i am reminded of the joke about the one who found the frog, who promised if it got a kiss, it would turn into a princess, but the geek says he is too busy to have a girlfriend but a talking frog is cool. Maybe you could get some ideas from the concept the geeks cant get a girlfriend.

Or go for something really deep, like a tomato sauce bottle with no lid.....

Dress in completely brown gear, strap 2 large bits of coolite to your sides and go as a shit sandwich.
Hey, let's pop some Viagras and issue tickets with raging, mega-huge boners.
