VBulletin have released their own iPhone app: http://itunes.apple.com/app/vbulleti...401734344?mt=8

I've just downloaded it (free) and will post a comparison to Tapatalk in a few days.

Hmmm, I should have read the description closer. It appears to work only with the VBulletin.com forums.

And vbulletin.org? I visit them, but I don't regularly browse or see the need to from the iPod.

Honestly, the browsing experience from these phones is so good I can't be bothered with tapatalk. I might have to change my sig to reflect that.

New Tapatalk update today. Hopefully it's fixed a lot of the bugs causing the last version to continually crash.

There's now basic smilie support. Let's see how that works.

Seems to be heaps faster already.

Thank god it's stable! The last version was a train wreck.

Our server host stopped the script that allows Tapatalk to run, as there was too much server load (on a shared server with other sites). I haven't had time to look into it yet, but unless there is some upgrade to Tapatalk that we haven't already installed, it could be out for an indefinite period.

I don't look after the server side of things, so I have no idea if we are getting best value for money.

Value for money is always subjective. If you want to be able to provide for Tapatalk and your current host cannot then you have a problem regardless of "value".
