    nice putting Tung

    played this arvo, just couldnt strike it too well today but still managed to find a good score (short course helps). Jumped on the bogey train on 4 and didnt get off till the 7th, but got it going again with an eagle on 13 1.5 putts per GIR has to be my best performance in a long time. the lack of greens helped that stat and also lead to another total putts under 30. If i play tomorow, and hit some greens look out, my putter feels deadly atm. after years of mocking my putting im taking every chance to talk it up.. who knows how long this will last

    Fariways - 2/10
    GIR - 6

    Trung, when are you going to get a haircut and a job

    What’s with the 10th green, big green, slopping or is it the operator of the putter

    You big stirrer, as you have already been told.........secured a job in the city this week with many additional extras..
    eg. car + private car spot in the CBD .

    As for the 10th green... The pin was tucked high right both days. I went for the bird on both days as both were uphill putt (around 5-6m) .. Only to have a 1.5m putt straight down hill coming back twice... ..... Gotta be less agressive on those putts

    The operator is doing fine .

    Great news from the Gold Coast Div 1 pennants - Emerald Lakes won 4/3 and in doing so guaranteed we cant get relegated. We are 2 wins from 3 and tied for 3rd on the ladder.

    The deciding match finished on the 22nd. Our bloke smashed his drive 320 metres and lobbed a 9 iron to about 12ft. The eagle was conceded and we were home. Happy days.

    I have embedded myself as the reserve and quite happy to be there. These Div1 players are too good for me, seems that about a 3 handicap is the highest marker out there, except our team!.

    I won my token match against a 12yo in leg braces again, but blimey, i have never seen someone get up and down so much - 6 times on the front 9, and a couple of them he was dead and gone. Even G69 isnt that good.

    990BLuva - take note, in the last fortnight i have beaten opponents off the stick who are on half my handicap. to give you 11 shots is nuthin....

    I thought in pennants the match was halved after 18 holes and you get a half point each but we are talking the gold coast here I spose

    So Trung you have a week to go to get to 5 and I have...... well some time on my hands congrats on the job mate about time

    I recall junior pennant going to extra holes.. but MTB is older than that... right

    Trung there is no ccr for us recreational golfers. ACR is 64 but it's cool by me if we just ignor that.

    i have never known pennants to be any other way. you keep playing until its finished. I remember one bloke on the sunshine coast took 26 holes to win his game.

    Logan played Gainsbourough greens on Saturday and 2 matches where halved Div2.

    Lgan looked like winning 6/3 at one stage and would have sealed the pennant, one guy was up 2 with 3 to go and got done another guy was 2 up with 2 to go and got one of those halves, so it come down to the last pair and the logan guy needed to get up and down in 2 from the back of the 18th and failed to do so, that would have give them a 4 1/2 to 4 1/2 draw but they ended up losing 5/4

    In other words, Logan golfers are chokers.
    Take note those of you who are facing a Logan player in the first round of matchplay (Nudgee, Drunken, Choppa, Tezza).
    Kev, looks like you were lucky to get a bye first up.

    2 under.. nice mau =D>

    got away with my swing for 16 holes today, wasn’t so lucky on the other two, double and a triple (after which I was even more mentally fudged than usual). so the run of 1 or 2 over has finally ended, had 6 shots too many this arvo. chipping and putting continues to be much improved.

    Fairways -> 3/10 (3 missed with a 6iron )
    Greens -> 7 (2/8 par 3's )
    U/D -> 4/7
    Miracle Chip Ins -> 1

    Played Nudgee North comp today 75 for 39 points.

    fairways 10
    GIR 13
    putts 34
    U/D 3/3
    SS 1/1

    The score should have been better, 3 of those GIR ended up 3 putt bogeys hence the 3 over par score

    Thanks to Nudgee, Tezza and Griz for the day :P

    Congrats to Nudgee on the win to be honest though anybody could have beat either of them

    Played 9 holes at Logan today Mitchell's after school round

    Mitchell 56 - 17 = 39
    Mathew 35 - 2 = 33
    Onewood 40 - 3 = 37

    No stats for this round, too tired

    45 holes in the one day and I'm ready for bed

    75/75 looking good for the Ozgolf champs though
