    Default Should I leave negative feedback?

    First this happened. Then this.

    After 2 weeks I contacted Ebay resolution centre and said the seller won't respond. Next day I get a message from the seller;
    i am sending a refund, sorry i was out of the country...
    thanks

    Yes I got the refund. Should I give him the red, grey or green button?

    Or should I just forget it?

    I'm American and in my opinion he should have honored the transaction, he misquoted the shipping but that's his fault, oh well either way you got a refund, but it's not what you bid on and won. I would give neutral feedback just because your not out anything but definetely explain how the deal went sour in the coment section. Oh by the way not responding after the deal is done isn't an "American thing" it's an A**hole thing.

    I was going to melt some wheel weights into the cavity and send it to Dotty to reshape it.

    EDIT. This wasn't the item. Just joking.

    Neg him for his woeful communication, and for how the whole process went. He did everything pretty much wrong which has led to a bad transaction, and taken for ever to refund! It should have taken him 1 minute after he emailed to say he was refunding to be able to do it! And I didn't know that being out of the country means you can't log into your ebay and paypal accounts?

    If he'd refunded straight away I'd have considered neutral maybe commenting it should have been a neg but he fixed the problem straight away. He didn't fix it when he should have so neg the dud!

    poor form to give negative feedback, when he has given your money back. That shows that he is at least an honest seller.
    If you neg him, he will complain, and then ebay will delete it anyway. Why go through all the trouble.

    Personally it looks like he was disappointed with the final auction figure, made up some BS story about postage and then relisted it and made a tidy little profit. Given that he's refunded the money i would leave Neutral feedback but with a very clear outline that it "should" of been negative given the situation.

    I won some car parts on Ebay a couple of months ago and the bloke had 3 shipping quotes listed. I did the correct thing and contacted him to double check that included delivery to Tasmania which he replied and said it did. After sending payment/postage details he rang me to explain that after double checking that the postage was not what he quoted (even after i checked with him) and that it was going to be xxx more.

    To say i was a little pissed off is an understatement but i needed the parts and had been looking for them for sometime. Even with the extra postage costs i was still infront but that wasn't the point. I contacted Ebay (easier said that done half the time) and it was the biggest BS reply id ever received in my life. I left negative feedback given the situation and less than 24hours later it was removed

    Depends if you want a neg back which your bound to get, unfortunately it's easier for him to get ebay to revoke his neg then it is for you.

    If you end up negging him just choose your words carefully and ebay might keep it there.

    I'm leaving my decision until the seller responds to this;
    I asked about postage before bidding. I paid as soon as I won the auction. I accepted your offer of a refund. I heard nothing from you for almost 2 weeks. I didn't get the refund until I contacted ebay.

    I don't want to leave negative feedback. Please give me a reason why I shouldn't.
    I've never left a neg. I don't really want to in this instance but he stuffed me around too much for my liking.

    If he gives me a good enough story I'll just forget about the whole thing.

    $180 US for a vintage original Ping Scotsdale Anser, that is a good buy. Maybe he found out how much more he could have got for it; can understand why he pulled the pin.

    Mike - I bought some titliest balls in 'new' condition - out of the 50 - 13 were average. I emailed the seller with no response - I then opened a paypal claim and within 12 hours he responded to refund the disputed amount. Although he was a twat and only responded when forced I will not leave a neg. because I ended up getting satisfaction - his feedback when I purchased was 100% - so will give him the benefit of the doubt. I have only ever left Neg. once and that was for a real tool.

    Having only ever bought from ebay, whats the go with sellers and there waiting for your feedback before posting the feedback for the transaction. Surely the feedback from the sellers point of view should be about how the transaction went on my part and not waiting to see what sort of feedback is left and respond in kind.

    His feedback about the transaction should be posted as soon as he gets the money, that has always given me the sh#ts.

    You can always leave neutral feedback, along the lines of had a problem, was fixed eventually with a lot of prodding.

    Damo this is why I'm hesitant to leave a neg. He has 100% feedback (270) so I'm cutting him some slack for that. Anyone can have a bad week.

    I await his response.

    I'd leave him neutral at worst, I think negative is reserved only for those that rip you off completely
