Default honeymoon ideas and advice on either Tazzie, NZ or south pacific

Well as the day gets closer, planning needs to increase. Now the missus does not do to well in the sun for long periods of time, but wants to consider a south pacific honeymoon

Three main destinations pop up for us

    Tazzie
    NZ
    South pacific

Just after any must see things in any of the area's or resorts, hotels and stuff you have stayed at that are really worth looking at. Looking at 2 weeks max to a min of 8 days away so need some activities to keep us occupied, but not an extreme advenure holiday by any means.

Looking forward to any suggestions or advice
If it aint for sale the right price has just not been offered

The bride being in the sun for too long is a bad idea for a honeymoon anyway. You're going to do it like they do on the Discovery Channel the whole time anyway.

FWIW - look up Peppers Bloomfield (FNQ). That was awesome.
Lucy Harris smart smart smart, Martin Harris dumb.

You can't take the bride to NZ, it's like going to Wyong or Ipswich

Pete and I had 2 weeks in NZ (North Island) for our honeymoon. But it was mostly golf-related so I probably can't help you out unless golf is your primary focus. Same goes for Tassie. We've been there but mostly for golf.

The Cook Islands on the other hand I can help you with. If you are interested, shoot me a PM and I'll give you the details.

New Zealand is a great place for a honeymoon. I have had one of mine there.

Surely if it's the honeymoon you'll be seeing plenty of the map of Tazzie ???? (So no need to go there...)

Mate, it's your honeymoon - suggested activities are as follows:

    BED. THAT IS ALL !!!

(Make hay while the sun shines, there seems to be a strange link to female left ring fingers and sex drive...my theory is that the sex drive gland is actually IN the left ring finger and when the ring goes on, it cuts off circulation !! )

Second (we even got married there).

The hire car companies are smart in NZ. Plenty of them allow you to pick up in Christchurch and drop off in Auckland (or vice versa) without charging you extra. Visually spectacular from the road whereever you are. The colour of the lakes is something you have to see as pictures just don't do them justice.

I would have thought you'd have been right at home in Wyong, Tomo, given Watanobbi is only one click north of town.

Correct although it was a typo, it was meant to read Noumea or somewhere else in NC, and if you think they are shitholes then you haven't seen the rest of the South Pacific islands.

No, don't have any link to the place.

    Lucasto:

Southern Tassie is one of the most beautiful spots I have seen anywhere in the world as far as natural scenery is concerned, but I am not sure how easily you'd fill 8-14 days there. If there was golf allowed I guess you could do the whole of Tassie in a couple of weeks and include a couple of days at Barny!

I have heard great things about The Bay of Fires

The good thing about NZ is that our $ has pulled away from theirs a bit recently, so the value for money is even better.

Tassie is beautiful but after spending the first 29 years of my life there, not really a lot to do at night other than a nice meal somewhere.

That time frame would be perfect for you to see most of what the State has to offer.

Having said that, my wife and I went to Koh Samui and really enjoyed it. I was there 15 years ago and there was hardly any development at all - now has all the conveniences but retains that not quite over developed feel.

Usually can get pretty cheap deals to Thailand . Also can recommend Penang.

We've done Tassie and New Zealand in the last 2 years

NZ gives bang for buck with teh exchange rate. Google Lake Taupo for a cool place to stay

If going to Tassie, do a driving holiday. Same as NZ but more expensive
